  1. Hi, a mate of mine hand engraves custom guitars (similar to Zemaitis) to your own specs, he's a local lad, extremely talented... his websites here with lots of examples of his work: http://www.engravedguitars.com/ if you contact him tell him Andy referred you
  2. Lol, I bottled it a few times, only way down was to shuffle down backwards clinging on for dear life. Same period as you too! The original tree huggers ---------- Post added 13-04-2013 at 15:32 ---------- Big Ivan with the flat cap?
  3. Thanks for the info hillsbro, shame it's gone. Never knew it was a beech tree, only trees I knew back then were conker trees and apple trees for scromping:hihi:
  4. I remember the penny tray and jubblys. Jubblys were an odd shape and if you squeezed wrapper too hard, the jubby shot out and ended up on the floor ---------- Post added 10-04-2013 at 17:46 ---------- Just googled jubby shape and it's a isosceles tetrahedron, came in a waxed paper wrapper if I remember
  5. When I was a Kid there was a huge tree in Hillsborough Park growing at 45 degrees. It was situated by the side of the duck pond where the line of trees ran close to the backs of the houses on Broughton Road. Back then we used to dare each other to see who would climb highest. Can anyone remember it and know if its still there?
  6. Good meat too hobodave. We've now been and the foodstuff is fresher and cheaper than the local high street
  7. Thanks for the reply neeeeeeeeeek. I've just been down and had a walk around the place and spoke to a couple of residents, the river view ones look great! Cheers for the info
  8. Hi, I was wondering if anyone lives or had lived in this complex? I have been looking here, they look great inside from the online images, and it looks like a great location on the river and wondered if you got much noise through the walls and floors etc, are they well sound insulated please? Any music banging out all night? I went down for a nosy and there was a hell of a lot of 'for sale/to let' signs outside and I wondered why so many. Thanks example: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-21605820.html
  9. Two Castle Market reviews here http://www.exposedmagazine.co.uk/food/clares-foodie-blog/2012/07/11/Clares_Castle_Market_Adventure/ http://www.exposedmagazine.co.uk/food/clares-foodie-blog/2012/08/10/Cutlets_Hall__A_Guide_to_Castle_Markets_Butchers/
  10. I can't fault Weldricks on Cookes, used them for years, always pleasant and friendly, also get my diabetic marmalade and jam from there too. I have been asked questions before, but its usually regarding prescription contraindications etc, which is for my own good considering they have the knowledge I don't them being chemists.
  11. We were wondering if it was him. Used to see him on the bridge at the end of Rivelin Valley Road bottom of Watersmeet. World needs more whacky characters like him
  12. Wharf Aquatics have been recommended to me, suppose to be very good with everything you need. A few junctions down the M1 http://www.wharfaquatics.co.uk/

  14. No it is not a true representation, it is misrepresentation of the Castle Market traders ratings in general, and at no stage have I said that the Foods Standards Agency are worthless, you should we careful what you are insinuating... show me where I quoted that? It was your quote I said was worthless because you appear to have cherry picked (using butchers for some reason while my original post was regarding fruit & veg) to support your previous comment ("That's because we have a sense of smell and hygiene standards") and that could be construed as libelous particularly as you've named businesses to support your comment. And just because traders score less than a five rating does not make them unhygienic:rolleyes: Anyone wishing to see a true representation of how Castle Market traders are rated just need type in the postcode ' S1 2AH '. The stats are there for all to see and I have no more to say on this matter:) ---------- Post added 24-03-2013 at 15:24 ---------- Well said juniee:)
  15. ---------- Post added 23-03-2013 at 04:47 ---------- [/color] Yes I can Irene http://ratings.food.gov.uk/enhanced-search/en-GB/Butchers/S1/alpha/0/%5E/%5E/1/1/10 This is not a true representation of Castle Market retailers, you've handpicked these. I've just gone through seven pages of S1 Retailers and Castle Market stalls on average do rather better than you're suggesting with many having hygiene ratings of 4 or 5 so your quote is worthless. While you are entitled to your opinion like everyone else if you're going to quote statistics at least do your research correctly first ---------- Post added 23-03-2013 at 12:23 ---------- This is not a true representation of Castle Market retailers, you've handpicked these.
