  1. Hi im jess...i worked at the sherwood for the best part of four years...the best job ive ever ever had...what a laugh!!!! i only left four months ago and i miss it loads...Sue and murph are strict and i have been on the reciving end a few times. There strictness is for your safety, There are no rules and regs anymore anywhere and these are the places that are drug riddled unlike the sherwood,it is the best place for the weekend and you can still see me there having a few sneaky ones!!!! ray may the kareoke DJ on a sat is a legend probebly one of the funniest men i have ever met. DO NOT WEAR WHITE SOCKS ON A SAT NIGHT...ha ha there will be consequences...say hello from jess when u go in..and i shall be back to annoy them soon!!!!
  2. I have been in today to have a nosy and potentially a job...inside is lovley and modern. You really have to go and see when it opens...i was very very suprised to say the least...
  3. I maybe biased but the smoking shelters are by far the best i have seen in anypub and we have had ours win an award for the best smoking soloution. Boxer boy i have seen you work for the council and have commented on the smoking )shelter,if u was the person who made the report on the smoking shelter (that was just to stop our customers getting rained on??i think if you have that you should be more aware of the other pubs we have in our vasinity and maybe complain about the drug use or violence that u never find in the sherwood.
  4. I work at the sherwood. we have to think of the safety of other people therefore we ask you to move so our waitresses dont catch you with the hot food. Believe me it is that hardest place to work when it is busy. As for sue and murph they are the best bosses that you could ask for,but they allways have to be alert for things and if this means after the forth time of asking you to move they raise there voice abit then so be it. They are looking after the safety of you and other people. We are all encouraged to make sure our customers feel comfy in our pub,and have a laugh with them. And yes it is true once you are barred your barred for life. And as for sue if she was her usual nice self all the time the chances are that the pub would be downhill and full of druggies which is not tolarated at the sherwood. I think we should all be grateful for a drug free pub with a nice atmosphere.
  5. i work at the sherwood. And what we heard was that the lad died. He was doing a paper round.
  6. I saw the girl in leadmill to. My friend saw her who is a nurse in practasing and got her to drink somewater and sit down as she was falling allover. we spoke to the girls friends and they told us that she was epaleptic and that she gets worse in really hot weather. Hence it being extremly hot in leadmill on thursday night. The girl was made to leave with her friends by the bouncers and they was not very polite about it as they thought shed had to much to drink. So i was very angry as they have no consideration and i told them not to tar everyone with the same brush. I also rang up leadmill on friday morning to complain about how there staff treat people who genuinly are ill. Not everyoe who goes out is drunk or is on drugs. about time them bouncers learnt about respect. Well anyway the girl got in ambulance ao im sure she will be ok.
  7. Yeah i went. I remember most of those teachers but i hated mrs clarke. She was a right old battleaxe
  8. I live on the road down from rasby, The area is great. Never any trouble and the walk way dosnt have gangs of kids. Most trouble that we get is kids kicking there football on the roads and thats about it. The Hawk and Dove field does have people riding there motor bikes but not very often and it it becomes a regular occuramce the police come and get rid of it. Having peaks on the doorstep is a big advange. Hope you find this usefull.
  9. Ive been to both sixth form and college and ive got to say college is the better choice. They treat you more like an adult and identify your weaknesses and help you with them where as sixth form hasnt really got the teachers to do such things.
  10. it dosnt need bouncers anymore because there isnt that much trouble..its a nice pub
  11. well i love my little part time job at the sherwood..even tho i seem to work all the time...people are friendly and the staff are a laugh...its not rough anymore as they have filtered them all out and now all the bad ens go to the birley.
  12. i dont work thur plus ive been signed off for another week...stood on a glass bottle at republic
  13. yes but everyone winds me up and at least i have a bit a of amunition to wind someone up then....i get bullied lol no i dnt they just think im daft
