  1. Fine, if their brain is that small or their skull that thick that they don't feel the need to wear one...
  2. I'm a motorist and a cyclist just to be clear. I've noticed that it's mainly the cyclists who don't wear helmets or hi-viz or even bother with lights at dusk, that are the ones that behave like complete nobs. Yes students, I'm looking at you... The ones who take it seriously and go properly equipped are most often - but not always - more likely to behave in a responsible manner in my opinion.
  3. Anyone know anything about the incident where a car seemingly deliberately rammed another car into the central reservation on the parkway, heading out of Sheffield Tuesday rush hour? It was like something out of an action movie or one of those cop chase documentaries. Most bizarre.
  4. Bit stupid wasn't it, leaving your bike on full view in your car overnight. I'm presuming it wasn't covered up? Have you not heard about not leaving valuables on view in cars? Now you've got a bust lock to pay for because of your stupidity.
  5. I did and my car got egged! Nah, only kidding. I have had a drive around a few times, mainly between half six and seven at night on my way home and, to be fair, I've never noticed people hanging around the B&B or the shop when I've driven past. I'd be happy to move into the area but doesn't look like my missus is keen now, even though she was the one bigging up the area in the first place. Women...
  6. Thanks Willman for your in depth reply. Much appreciated. Have you read the document? It's not just 'internet stuff', it contains actual instances and police reports of nuisance and harassment from residents living around the area that me and my family are looking to potentially move to, so you can understand my taking a step back, so to speak. Having said that, I do take on board your comment about the internet only seeming to dredge up negatives or complaints. I'm not here just trying to find fault with the area, I'm here to try to find out about the area, warts and all, and I appreciate all comments both positive and negative. Just out of curiosity, where is Chavsville?
  7. Oh dear. Just been doing some internet research and this doesn’t paint the area in a very good light at all. http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=26&cad=rja&ved=0CFIQFjAFOBQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ne-derbyshire.gov.uk%2FEasysiteWeb%2Fgetresource.axd%3FAssetID%3D40735%26type%3Dfull%26servicetype%3DAttachment&ei=8wgOU8icOc_T7AbH14HIDA&usg=AFQjCNGldAK2pxUUuRenCvTqqS9JtHycjA&sig2=BLa446M-oKXOvAG5RR-yZQ Loads of comments about the anti-social behaviour around the Stop and Shop and Bull and Badger car park. Having said that, I understand that the B&B is being converted into flats/apartments. Anyone any more info on that? Also, anyone know if the DPPO (Designated Public Places Order) has been extended beyond its trial period, which finished August 2013? Thanks.
  8. Doh, now I feel daft. I never looked at your user name. I must admit, it did sound like an interesting place though, being a bit of a tin foil hatter myself.
  9. I know that there's been other threads about Killamarsh of a similar nature but I want to know specifically what people's opinions are of the areas mentioned, before I start house hunting around there. I've had a quick look on police.uk crime map and there seems to have been quite a few reports of anti-social behaviour around these parts during last summer. This area is around the Bull and Badger pub which looks a bit dodgy from the outside so don't know if that plays its part? Anyone live in this area or have any comments about it? Ta.
  10. Beat me to it Mr C. It's funny how all the Foster supporters brand everyone else 'trolls' and then can't see the irony.
  11. He became ill and died a long time ago. Martin Kelner doing the 10pm to 1am slot in the late 70's was the best ever on Hallam. 'The Cow-Dung-Beef Supporters Club', 'Auntie Kel's Problem Page', 'The Universal Philosophers'.... the man was a comedy genius and also a very nice bloke when you met him in person.
  12. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Can't stand the man.
  13. We have a dog crate which we will happily give to anyone who can make use of it and can collect it from the Mosborough area. It is about 3' x 3' with a metal floor and two large doors. It's made from plastic coated steel. The crate doesn't fold which is the main reason why we're getting rid - need the space. PM me if you can make use of it.
  14. Thanks for your help Colliebird. I'll drop her round to you in the morning as arranged.
