  1. It sounds like a lot of people ignored the fact the person was passed out on the floor before the OP and the medical student arrived...
  2. the supertram gauge is 4ft 8 1/2in. ... standard gauge
  3. I would imagine that's alot easier said than done and probably not worth the time/effort/cost!
  4. I live at Brinsworth, there are some really nice parts and some not so nice parts. Where I live is about 2 minutes walk from a Junior/infant school and about 10 minute walk to the comprehensive school (which was and I believe still is a good school). I absolutely love where I currently live, never had any trouble in the time i'v lived here (about 12 years now I think), it's extremely quiet and the people living in this area are a mix of families and older people. If you'd like to know anything more feel free to private message me.
  5. Well it's not looking good Sarah is it? I'm off out now, but can't wait to catch up on this thread later on
  6. I believe the highway code state's you should reverse onto your drive way and then drive off it where possible, so OP, what is the reason you cannot reverse onto your drive way? Apparently uploading the CCTV to youtube is an invasion of privacy, however telling strangers on the internet your home address and asking them to come to your house isn't? Apparently you, just like I am, are indeed a troll ---------- Post added 21-06-2013 at 12:28 ---------- Just out of interest as a bus driver do you think that in the 100 yards between the bus stop and the OPs drive way it would be possible for the bus to be travelling over the speed limit, even if the limit was 30mph?
  7. Sorry why am I being branded a troll and the other people, who all agree with me, are being totally ignored? Sadly I have more important things to do than come see CCTV footage at your house, plus I'd rather not drive along your road as I hear people like to randomly reverse out into on coming traffic! Also, I know buses in South Yorkshire have CCTV, does anyone know if the have any forward facing CCTV? For all we know the OPs dangerous driving may have already been reported to South Yorkshire Police by the bus company. ---------- Post added 21-06-2013 at 12:16 ---------- Which list would this be?
  8. Erm trolling? Really? Little boy? I love it when adults resort to name calling, it actually makes my day. So can we see this CCTV footage on Youtube please? I'd quite like to see you endanger a "mainline" bus, it's driver and passengers along with other road users when you decided to reverse in front of an on coming bus. (I'd also love to see the mainline bus, it's been a while!)
  9. I'm pretty sure that's the way the law would see it! Well said. ---------- Post added 21-06-2013 at 11:59 ---------- As for the CCTV, if you are so keen to show us, why don't you upload it to Youtube (or similar) and let us all have a look
  10. No, the problem would be in statement you've just made such as "it's more like 100 yards now I come to think about it" So you either didn't give us the true facts to begin with, or you're not trying to change them to make yourself look innocent. Maybe you should have tried thinking about it at the time of the incident then maybe you wouldn't have nearly caused a crash? edit - so you were trying to reverse across 2 lanes of moving traffic? Maybe in future you should try reversing into the nearside carriageway and finding a safe place to turn around?
  11. Not start threads blaming somebody else for your own mistakes maybe?
  12. From how I read the posts the bus was stationary at the bus stop to begin with, so you would have to take into account the acceleration period. Not sure of the exact numbers, but I'v never seen a bus accelerate overly quickly! So apparently, a bus starting 150 yards away from the OP's drive setting off at the same time, has accelerated faster than the OP in I can only assume a car, to the point where the bus has over taken the OP? not convinced
  13. In the time it took you to pull off your drive a bus set off from a bus stop and traveled 150 yards? How slow we're you pulling off your drive? As someone else said, the bus has right of way as they were already on the road and you were pulling out onto the road in front of them. Who almost caused the crash again?
  14. do you need to be able to take food? room on its own or part of a pub/bar? do you need a dj? more info would probably help
  15. It seems strange that somewhere offering a DJ course wouldn't use club/industry standard equipment to teach students. Like others have said usb midi-controllers are probably you're best/cheapest option. If you really want to stick to using cds I would say pioneer CDJs are definitely worth the extra cost! I personally use Serato either with time-code cds or in HID mode depending on the bar/clubs set up (or depending on if you're playing back to back with someone else, one uses time-code one uses HID for ease of switching over)... The main advantage of playing from Serato is the ability to carry a huge library of songs and be more open/random in sets. As someone else has said, at the end of the day 99% of the people in the bar/club don't care what the DJ is playing the music from as long as they enjoy the night! technology when used right just opens up more creative possibilities.
