  1. Hey, people of Sheffield! Two of Manchester's finest scratchy rock bands are coming to the Riverside this Sunday. The Papa Shangos, fast and furious maximum rock'n'roll with a garage punk tinge from the mean streets of Bolton, supported by high octane nu glam rockers Tijuana Death Shot, fresh from the heart of sunny Madchester. 8ish start - don't miss it! https://www.facebook.com/events/879826188796795/
  2. Hi, I sing for MAD FOXES, but have just moved away and will be leaving the band. Do you reckon you might be interested in taking on the Mic? Mad Foxes - Lay Low - Rough Masters: That's a rough mix from our most recent recording sessions. Let me know if interested.
  3. MAD FOXES - Intro to Lay Low - Rough Masters: http://youtu.be/I67gKfG2gC8 I'm the singer and I'll be moving on in Jan. We've been using backing tracks I've put together in Logic since our last drummer dropped out two days before a load of gigs, but I think a decent drummer (and a decent singer) could turn the Foxes into a force to be reckoned with. Johnny and Paul (guitar and bass, respectively) are excellent band mates. I've been taking the sound in a faster, punkier direction, but I reckon new members could work with the current line up to shape a new sound. Get in touch if interested.
  4. Well goddamn! Our drummer has broken up with us! The band comprises a metalhead on bass, a punk/metal head on guitar and me on vocals (I like almost anything, but love metal and punk). Since losing our drummer, we've been gigging over drum tracks. It's gone pretty well, but you just can't beat the power and groove of a decent live drummer. Are you the one for us? Have a listen: http://madfoxes.bandcamp.com/ We have a varied sound, from old school punky Mad Foxes - Keep Calm: to slower groove: Mad Foxes - Lay Low: If you think you'd fit in, give us a try. Drop me a PM. We rehearse on Sundays at Redfern Studios, Sheffield.
  5. I put a couple of vids on YouTube just for when venues want a clue what we sound like. They're not great and don't show us at our best. This Sunday we were due to record a set of demos for promo work. Until that's sorted, this is all we have. More Than I Deserve by MadFoxes:
  6. Hi mate, We're a punk/rock band with gigs booked and a demo recording session booked (for this weekend! ) but our drummer has just texted the whole band to say he's out! If you're interested, drop me a PM or reply here or my other thread. Cheers, Lol the singer
  7. Ha ha, fairy nuff! I'm 50 in the near future, though....hasn't stopped me yet. We re not exactly thrash - have a listen. We'd intended to put up some more professional stuff shortly, but this rough vid gives you a rough idea of the sound. It's actually a love song:
  8. Well goddamn! Our drummer has just texted the whole band to say he's definitely out! The band comprises a metalhead on bass, a punk/metal head on guitar and me (i like almost anything, but love metal and punk). The old drummer was more mod-inclined, I don't think he liked the way we were getting heavier and faster. We've just introduced one new song that sounds like FFDP and I've got a couple in the pipeline that are clearly metal and fast punk, respectively. If we could move towards a more metalcore sound it would suit me. If you think you'd fit in, give us a try. We're just about to start cancelling booked gigs. We've still got some outstanding offers for gigs in late Oct and Nov but I don't want to cancel those until we know for sure we cant do them. Drop me a PM. We rehearse on Sundays at Redfern Studios, Sheffield. Up for a challenge? We need a capable, energetic drummer for gigs and recording.
  9. Hi mate, still looking? I've I've messaged you on Joinmyband.com
  10. Drop me a PM. I sing for a new punk/garage band called MadFoxes and we're looking into setting up gigs, etc.
  11. I'm the singer for a new grunge-ish band. We're thinking about doing an unplugged set for gigs that our drummer can't make. Would that fit the bill?
  12. Hi, My new punk/grunge band MadFoxes has been invited to play at a charity event in Nottingham on Saturday 26th Jul. Unfortunately, our drummer can't make it. We were thinking about doing an unplugged style set instead of our usual blast. Anyone fancy a one-off gig with a snare and a crash, laying down some skiffle beats? We might also do something at a small venue in Sheffield that weekend if we can pull it all together. PM me for details. We rehearse at Redfern.
  13. We'e a new band, haven't even agreed on a name yet (but might be going for Mad Foxes) and we're looking to rent or share a permanent rehearsal room where we can safely leave amps, drums etc. Anyone got any suggestions?
  14. As per title. We have fish and tadpoles and I can't find anywhere local selling daphnia. Can anyone help?
