  4. Having looked at Ancestry I believe that she married in 1989 and became Barbara Fazakerley. She her husband and what look like their 2 sons are in Sheffield on 192.com right up to the 2011 electoral register but you would have to buy credits to view the full address etc. I also googled her name and there was a recent report to Sheffield City Council listing a number of staff retiring June 2011, if it is her she had 23 years service as a teacher at Lydgate Infants, perhaps someone on here might recognise her by her married name.
  5. Don't know why ..... all my 3 had tea in their bottles and at 29, 21 and 17 it didn't seem to do them any harm and they all still love a nice cuppa !
  6. Hi PopT can you clear some space in your inbox as it won't accept any PM's due to being full
  7. At the time that the Ripper was caught with Olivia, she was around 4.5 months pregnant, with twins. She lived in Popple Street at Page Hall at the time. I was admitted to the Northern General in late April and was in a small 3 bedded ward with Olivia. To say she has nerve is wrong the lass was a total mess, a complete nervous wreck who had suffered terribly with her nerves / mental well being etc..due to knowing that she was minutes from death on that night in early January. She gave birth to a baby boy and a baby girl in early May (1982) both of who were rushed to Jessops for specialist care but there was no room for her to go with them, so she had to stay put at the Northern for a few days till a bed was found for her at Jessops. During that time she used to help me with my baby boy, nursing him and responding to him when he cried etc... I really liked her she was a very kind and gentle person. Olivia had 2 other children, a son and a daughter. A black male called Joseph used to bring them to see her everyday and they were lovely kids and always immaculatey turned out. Within a few days of their birth and after Olivia had left for Jessops the nursing staff told us that one of her twins did not make it..... very sad.
  8. Careful with the fire engine ..... we were let down badly by a fire engine that never turned up and spoiled my daughters prom
  9. rholt, there are some good family historians on this forum, but I think that very few of them are psychic ........ ie...... name.... age... etc etc...
  10. I remember Darren West well, he was in my class at Woodthorpe School, yes he was always a small lad..... another friend from Stanground was Karen Archer, she lived close the the Hastilar end of the road, near back of Springwood.
  11. Hi again.... I have had a quick look and think this is your dads family; Frank Kemp (born 1895) married Isabella Swift (born 1896) in 1916. They had the following Children, Frank V 1916 Hilda 1921 Mabel 1923 Edna 1924 Marjorie 1926 John 1928 Leslie 1930 Lillian S 1935 So these are all you dads brothers / sisters. The 1901 census show Frank living at Capel Street St Johns owlerton with his family aged 6 and isabella living at Woodland street St Johns owlerton aged 5. Hope this helps
  12. Your dad was born in the J/F/M quarter of 1930. His mothers maiden name is listed as Swift. His death was registered in the A/M/J quarter of 1966 with his age listed as 35 years. He married Ivy Smith in the J/F/M quarter of 1952. Their children being born in the following order Mary 1953 Irene 1955 Leslie 1956 Anne 1958 Theresa 1959 Peter 1961 Sharon 1963 Charles 1965 I will dig a bit further in to his paretns and siblings if that would be helpful ?
  13. It would appear there were 4 children. Annie Terry married Walter Cockayne in Doncaster 1938 Walter born 1939 Ann born 1942 Christine born 1946 Janet born 1949 have marriage and birth references if you want them (to buy certificates) Pm me and I'll send them to you
  14. There were definately some at the manor Top, quite close to the Elm Tree Pub, think they were knocked down when the supermarket and a few house were built ... they were kind of bang opposite the fire station.
