millers11 replied to bassett one's topic in All Other Events
Just want to say a massive thank you to all concerned with last nights event. Really enjoyed the massive bonfire (and it was lovely and warm stood at the side of it too!!). Made a nice change to get close to the bonfire just like the old days before the health and safety brigade took over!! The fireworks were amazing and must have cost a small fortune. I thoroughly enjoyed it all - thank you to all involved for a great event and a great atmosphere -
Thanks both for the reply. I am aware that you shouldnt enter a junction if it isnt clear but sometimes things happen out of your control that contribute to you getting stuck there. But from what you have said it looks like once you have crossed the line even if you are stuck in no mans land the camera wont flash you

Just been to Collins and Ball Dentist (at bottom of Ringinglow Road where it joins Ecclesall Road) and I have to say I have had the most amazing service. Really friendly staff who gave total reassurance and nothing was too much trouble. The Dentist I saw (think called Stephen) was a really friendly guy who was able and willing to answer all my questions and he obviously knew his stuff. He was very chatty and very reassuring. Thank you for a nice experience (even for a dental appointment!!!!) I would recommend this Dental practice to anyone

Some lovely replies on this topic especially from Dalek Boy. I agree - its just one day and theres far too much emphasis put on it with everyone dashing around days before all trying to make their day perfect when in all honesty it all ends up in a massive anti climax with plenty of wasted food that nobody really wanted anyway. New years eve is another farce - do people really think that when the midnight bells chime that massive change is coming?? You still have to go to work and struggle to pay bills, there will still be crimes committed and all the evil wont go away. So i wouldnt make too much fuss mate - enjoy time on your own because you dont have to please anyone then. Ive been through a break up and hated being on my own at first but now 6 years on theres nothing i like more after a hectic day at work than coming home to my little flat and locking my door behind me and being alone for the night - heaven !! Good luck and all the best to you - even if you dont enjoy being alone this year I guarantee that eventually you will enjoy it some day

If anyones considering Scottish Power for gas and electricity please please DONT !!! See their facebook page for hundreds and hundreds of complaints of sheer incompetence about this truly awful company. Ive also pointed Watchdog in the direction of their Facebook page too. The worst company ive ever ever dealt with by a mile and my complaint has been going on for months !!!

Youre right nobody will have reported him - all done electronically these days. The days when people can report others for having no road tax will end on 1 October anyway when the tax disc is no longer needed to be displayed and no more will be issued by DVLA
