  1. sound good mate, what about times and prices??
  2. Amen to that harry. if all the bjj/mma clubs in sheff had a regular 'guest night' where we all went to differnt clubs every now and then and trained with other fighters and instructors i can gaurentee that the quality of fighting in the city and all the clubs involved would dramatically improve. the fighters themselves would become used to sparring with people of all differing abilities and styles and would become so much better for it. like hayy said i cant be arsed with the politics of the interclub **** and just want to train with as many clubs and people as possible. i want to make my fighting as good as i can and i want to help my sparring parnter as much as possible. when i fight i want to go in there and finish it as soom as possible, ny aim is not to hurt the guy and destroy him to such an extent whereby he cannot train for a few weeks. why cant we all get on and be friends??? james
  3. he appeared at coast to coast in doncaster on thursday night. £100 a ticket and they sold out all 300 places. coast to coast is a horrible place and the people who went to see him are just fools!!
  4. that is dog dirt........ iw ill have to kick his ass when he comes over!!!!
  5. mate, you know how it works. cant just revail the locations of the jump spots. people have worked for hours to get them built and ridden in well. its not on just expecting to be given the locations on a plate. get into the scene and you will be told where they are. get yourself down to the woods and down the tracks and see who is there. dont think all the good ones will just be publish on an open forum
  6. i hope the gabbitas brothers the best of luck go on lads and show then how its done!! should be a good meet farhad. lets hope its not spoilt by all the idiots who like to turn up and shout "kill him and smash his face in". all the idiots who ruined the last bout at rotherham. MMA just seens to attract them....
  7. Mark i think the link with one of the souths leading BJJ clubs and instructors will be a great thing. persoanally i cant wait for the seminars and to meet up and train with the other clubs. good luck with it buddy. as for the training MMA, just watch me and you will learn a thing or two!!!
  8. i have a friend at work who also agrees
  9. well said. the cops have ha hard enough job catching the baddie, collecting the evidence and then getting them found guilty. its all let down by out wishy washy liberal punishment system that lets the buggers back out again,
  10. on a more lighter note. i have just come back from the seminar in rotherham. an excellent turnout. clubs from Hull, Matlock, Leeds and a few other i have forgot about. about 40 - 50 on the mat and as always an excellent training session was had by all. Harry J (the_rage), Chris (lankymanbjj), Mark (Monkey) and myself (James) were awarded our purple belts. not sure who got blue but i know a couple of the boys did. i am proud of everyone for grading. it was a hrad hot day and personally i was blowing out of my arse. itsw a shame the Barra boys could not make it. it would have been good to see sheffield have a full turn out. well done again lads!!
  11. i asked royce a question about matt hughes after he lost to him. its no big deal loosing a match. as he has been doing BJJ all his life i am sure he has tapped more times than anyone on this forum. the thing about bjj is that you learn from every tap and every loss more that you learn from your wins. that is why you should always train with people better than you. it will improve your game quicker and make you realise that its not about 'making it snap before they tap'! if i did tat with everyone i rolled with, i would have no training partners and my game would not improve. its all about helping each other in this big BJJ family. isnt it sweet!!!
  12. well said the rage.......you dont do it very often. talk sense that is:love:
  13. well done john, lets hope this raises awareness of the sport in the city, and raises awareness of the city in the sport!!,
  14. when this promoter started doing the fights a couple of years back it was mainly family and friends of the fighters along with other fighters who went to watch. each group of people would get behind there respective fighter and shout encouragment but at the end of the fight people would go around the room and congratulate each fighter/fighters family and trainers on a good fight and all the hard work irrespective of teh result. i loved this type of atmosphere and it lead to good bonds being formed between fighters and clubs. the last time i went to one at the ice place it was horrible. people in the crowd shouting and being abusive to other spectators just because of the fighter they were cheering. most of the crowd were just a bunch of jumped up 'roiders who think they are fighters without actully having the balls or commitment to put the hard work in. they should get a life. PS well done Andy. you did well buddy!!
  15. so your saying the police did their job but were useless?? they caught them, locked them up and they were not very good??
