  1. Yes it was finely ground tobacco, but as it wasn't burnt presumably it wouldn't produce the harmful tar. I suppose the nicotine would increase your heart rate.
  2. My Dad used to use snuff, I assume it's similar to a nicotine high. Not sure about the black mark below the nose, more of a brown powdery mark I would have thought. Having said that I seem to remember a menthol white snuff so who knows...
  3. Didn't that whole row of houses used to be bricked up years ago? I think they are, or were owned by a builders merchant nearby.
  4. Very creatively written if you don't mind me saying so, maybe born of the irritation with the conflict, letting a bit of steam off... I had a friend years ago who was unusually short, it didn't seem to hold him back, he was very self confident and a 'go getter' He confided in me one day about his lack of height and said that all the short people he had known seemed to have a 'chip on their should'. This might have been a good time to inform him of his huge passive aggressiveness....
  5. I've read, or rather skimmed (too tired, impatient and distracted to do any other right now) and I can't find any context to her comment "only women menstruate" other than it was during a seminar on female autism. A bit more context would be helpful to understanding this conflict surely?
  6. If nothing else, I do count my blessings, usually on a daily basis! 😉😊
  7. Thanks for sharing your story, coincidentally, I too remember wonderful times with my wife to be by the River Wye in Bakewell in 1996, such love. All gone now sadly I wish I had that positivity!
  8. So glad that you worked through these challenges and changes and that life eventually changed for the better!
  9. I know, my main concern is seeing the results of other users posting the Gifs!
  10. I appreciate your efforts but just a big no from me. Far too much like FB. My Gif reply is ironic.
  11. Seems to me that he's very obsessed with the whole idea, quite naive and a bit of a fantasist. Sharing his bomb making manual online is obviously not on and potentially dangerous. I'm not sure he'd be a real threat in real life by personally carrying out an attack.
  12. Sad to say, when I hear the Name Helen Sharman that's what I remember her for!
  13. I had what I used to think of as my 'nine years in the wilderness' after my long term partner and myself split up. I had a roof over my head and friends, and could afford food and nights out in the pub with friends, but they were hollow years, and frustrating until I met the love of my life. At that point my life changed forever, and for the best.
