  1. Lancing road was still there in 1966, I had a college friend who lived there.
  2. Hi, I have Housley in my tree too - I haven't connected them to Housley Manor which isn't a particularly large house - my ancestors are mainly agricultural or steel workers. There is also a Housley Hall in Chapeltown .
  3. Hi Kathleen, its me again Susan Hibbert that was. Glad to hear you are still around - last time we spoke you were spending time in skegness - now back in Chesterfield. We lived there after marrying in 1967. Now 45 years in Cornwall still having a good time.
  4. My relatives lived on Bullen - Keith and Sharon Hibbert. I went to Meynell with Pauline Whomersley who also lived on Bullen, sadly her brother Ronnie died very young.
  5. I bought my wedding dress there in 1967. It cost a whole weeks wage - £14 - I've still got in in the loft!!

  13. There appears to be another child Winston Solomon Seivwright born 1970 mothers maiden name is Scarborough - he died in 1970 - could this be one of yours. Joanne Lyn gives born 1972 mothers maiden name Clift
  14. we bought our first bed there - bottom of Ecclesall Road in 1967 - we were very embarrassed when the assistant said we should get on the bed and test it!!!
