I have a Tesco branded DAB radio and it gives a fantastic reception, very clear with no break in signal at all. Sounds like a problem with the radio youve bought.

Recalling some years ago when I used to take patients to their outpatient appointments at the hospital, I once went to Thorne to collect a old lady for an appointment at the Hallamshire. On our way in we got chatting and she told that she actually lived in Spain and worked with her son as property developers out here. She kept a bungalow at Thorne as a holiday home so that she could come back over here to visit friends etc. But she allways came back here for hospital appointments and other hospital treatment, so she was clearly getting away without any payment to the NHS. Added For the benefit of ricgem2002 this lady was british not a foreigner.

I was allways under the impression that when a statement had been written out, it was re-read by the witness to check its fact. Then the person giving that statement put their signature right after the very last word written so that nothing else could be added to the statement.

True, When you inform the DVLA that you no longer own a vehicle, they send you written confirmation that their records have been updated and that you no longer own the said vehicle. Untill you receive that confirmation you are responsable for any parking fines the vehicle gets.
