  • Occupation
    The name is a clue.
  1. Was going to put greed by the petrol companies is the only answer. But the main problem lies with the amount of tax the goverment puts on the fuel.
  2. I tried one and found it a waste of money, can still see the scratches on the car.
  3. I have a Tesco branded DAB radio and it gives a fantastic reception, very clear with no break in signal at all. Sounds like a problem with the radio youve bought.
  4. If you would kindly read the post that I was replying to, before you make stupid comments.
  5. Recalling some years ago when I used to take patients to their outpatient appointments at the hospital, I once went to Thorne to collect a old lady for an appointment at the Hallamshire. On our way in we got chatting and she told that she actually lived in Spain and worked with her son as property developers out here. She kept a bungalow at Thorne as a holiday home so that she could come back over here to visit friends etc. But she allways came back here for hospital appointments and other hospital treatment, so she was clearly getting away without any payment to the NHS. Added For the benefit of ricgem2002 this lady was british not a foreigner.
  6. It never is, I wondered why I was'nt working today.
  7. And then again what has Sunday (your post 6) got to do with someone asking where they can get a breakfast today MONDAY.
  8. I was allways under the impression that when a statement had been written out, it was re-read by the witness to check its fact. Then the person giving that statement put their signature right after the very last word written so that nothing else could be added to the statement.
  9. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Your statement differs from what the DVLA website says. Link from DVLA website http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/BuyingAndSellingAVehicle/RegisteringAVehicle/DG_4022311 Motoring How to notify DVLA if you sell your vehicle You must notify the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) immediately of the exact date of sale or transfer of your vehicle using the registration document or certificate. You and the buyer should follow the procedures correctly or you will remain liable for the vehicle until DVLA records have been updated. What you and the buyer need to do You should notify DVLA immediately using the appropriate section of the registration document or certificate. You should also keep a separate note of the buyer's name and address details. If you are selling to a motor trader you can find more information using the link below. Selling to a motor trader Registration certificate V5C If you have a registration certificate you must complete section 6 'new keeper or new name/new address details' of the V5C. Both you and the buyer must sign section 8 and send the V5C immediately to DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1BA. You must also give the buyer the properly completed V5C/2 section. If you sell the vehicle to a 'motor trader' (see notes on back of the V5C/3 for definition) you must complete the V5C/3 section. You must also obtain the details and signature of the motor trader and post it to DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1BD. Don’t rely on anyone else to send it in. Both the V5C and V5C/2 sections (uncompleted) should then be passed to the trader. The registration certificate has accompanying guidance notes INS 160. These notes are available for download below.
  10. True, When you inform the DVLA that you no longer own a vehicle, they send you written confirmation that their records have been updated and that you no longer own the said vehicle. Untill you receive that confirmation you are responsable for any parking fines the vehicle gets.
  11. Yes I think we are all well aware of what you say, I've noticed myself when anyone comes back at one of your posts with a reply, the reply magically disapears within hours of the reply being posted.
  12. I think many SF members may have a different view to the statement above.
