  1. We've recently done an editorial shoot with a selection of local suppliers and I'd recommend them all. KMR Bespoke Bridal - Dress Beau Bridal Hair Campbells Flowers Sarah Gray MUA Sweet Additions - Cake and of course we'd be silly not to suggest ourselves for the photography. Here's some of the samples from our recent shoot - www.rjhweddingphotography.co.uk
  2. As I understand it Wortley Hall offers quite attractive rates because of its trade union roots. It has some really outstanding features and run wedding fayres in October and February. We've got some images from there in our blog if you fancy taking a look.
  3. We're pleased to announce that we will also be exhibiting at a few more events: Casa Hotel, Chesterfield - 21st September Kenwood Hall Hotel, Sheffield - 5th October Novotel Hotel, Sheffield - 12th October Wortley Hall - 19th October Hope to see you there!!
  4. We're using them for our own wedding as well and we know a lot of florists!!
  5. Vyn Johns is good for that sort of style but you may also want to contact KMR bridal that I understand have a 50's style dress in their new collection as well. www.vynjohns.co.uk www.kellymarieredhead.co.uk Both sheffield based
  6. It is nice to know that you can go to someone and ask for help and get it. What great service.
  7. DaisyBoo, you'll be in good hands there. Jade the wedding coordinator is fantastic and is actually a bridetobe herself, I know as we're shooting their wedding this August. Becks has really covered the majority. All of those venues are lovely however Renishaw have stopped doing weddings now. Also consider: The Maynard in Grindleford http://www.themaynard.co.uk/ The stables in High Melton www.thestables-doncaster.co.uk/ Kenwood Hall http://www.kenwoodhallsheffield.com/index.htm Tapton Hall http://www.taptonhall.com/ Leopold hotel www.leopoldhotel.co.uk/ Halifax Hall http://www.halifaxhall.co.uk/partnerships-weddings/ Cutlers Hall http://www.cutlershall.co.uk/events/weddings The Rutland Hotel http://www.rutlandhotel-sheffield.com/Weddings/ All really nice venues, we've shot at some so can give you some personal insight if you'd like to DM us otherwise the websites should give you a good idea.
  8. We've covered weddings at Tankersley and have 4 more booked within the next 12 months. Our experiences with staff and the venue as a whole were positive. The staff were helpful and very flexible to your requests. Comparatively other venues can be a little strict on what you can and cannot do with regard to confetti and the sort however Tankersley were very good. My only point to highlight would be to find out whether there is another wedding on the same day. They hold a maximum of two a day and to manage this they essentially split the complex in two. One bride has exclusive use of the front of the building and the other exclusively the back. If you're in the back and want a picture of the front of the building they will say that you can't. (We still did sneakily though).
  9. KMR Bespoke Bral Are excellent, id definitely recommend her as I would agree Emily Bridal are also top notch. My fiancee however did go to Berketex while they had a sale on and is incredibly happy with the dress she found.
  10. I would strongly recommend KMR Bridal. She is a recent graduate however has already been repeatdedly featured in Vogue Italia and is a real up and coming talent. KMR Bespoke Bridal
  11. We will be attending two forthcoming wedding fayres; Wortley Hall - 16th February 11am - 4pm Royal Victoria Holiday Inn - 9th March 11am - 4pm The latter event is being sponsored by Hallam FM and there will a vast selection of giveaways and promotions run in conjunction with the event so be sure to check out their website closer to the time.
  12. Ah the eloper theme very romantic. I would say you must have been two love struck teens but from reading the rest of the post and the exclusion of your kids kinda hints otherwise.
  13. Just wanted to remind posters that there are less than 48 hours left to enter our competition to win your wedding photography for free. Good Luck!!
  14. *bump* Royal Victoria Holiday Inn Wedding Fayre - this Sunday coming 6th October 11am - 4pm. HallamFM and Royal Victoria Holiday Inn are working together to offer one lucky couple their wedding completely free. Come and visit our stand RJH Wedding Photography and leave with a free engagement photoshoot and print everytime. We hope to see you there!!
  15. Oooh Yes George, good suggestion. Lace, broaches, hair pins and vintages roses. Very nice!
