Unfortunately, I write this post as we have had a number of items stolen, which whilst not having a great deal of value on the second hand market are invaluable to a local junior football club, Tinsley Juniors. Earlier this week, football equipment such as respect barriers, club logo bearing gazebos, fold up bench seating etc together with two red ride on mowers were stolen from our pitch in Tinsley. They were locked up in a garage and out of site. Some of the equipment was nice to have for the kids that play, but others are essential to maintain the kids ability to play football. Foremost in that regard are the ride on mowers, which were needed to maintain our pitches. These are the most expensive to replace, even though we bought 2nd/3rd hand from e bay. The larger of the two is a red Sentar mower with grass collection trailer. Please if you are offered these items, think twice and report as necessary. The police have been informed and cctv is being reviewed. Thank you already to the people and football family who have offered us donations of equipment and fund raising ideas.

The post is headed u14, but if he isn't yet 13 he would be eligible to play at u13 level. It may be worth checking out the league website. At u13 age groups the leagues are graded A being the top league and E being the lower league. There are teams local to you in s35, but if you've already tried them then why not consider Tinsley JFC? We don't have an u8s team but we do have u9s and players are able to play up a year. Search us online, we have great facilities or contact me on here for more info.

Tut tut Most grass roots coaches are volunteers. I am disappointed in the fact that you think they are lining their pockets. Kids cannot 'play' in a team until they are 7, however many grassroots clubs and other for profit organisations may provide coaching at earlier ages. Even then games are friendlies with the emphasis on play and not results. If your opinion is that kids shouldn't be involved in sport from a young age then fine, don't get them involved, but please don't question the integrity of grass roots coaches.

Is your child in year 3 or 4 (4 or 5 after the summer holidays)? Are they interested in football? Would you like them to enjoy their football with FA qualified coaches and excellent facilities at a charter standard club? Tinsley have an under 11 team already, but are considering putting a second u11 team together as we have some boys who we cannot accommodate at the moment due to league rules on maximum squads. We do not currently have an u10 team, but have several players at this age group and a potential manager. Tinsley Junior Football Club are looking to finalise their squads at u8-u13 (current y2 to y7) for the forthcoming 2016/17 season. The team is open to both boys and girls from across the city and play and train just 5 minutes from Meadowhall. Tinsley JFC have expanded to double its amount of teams to six within the past 3 seasons. This has left us with some players at u10 for 2016/17 season, but no manager / coach. Experience and level 1 coaching would be great, but not essential as training and support will be provided by the club.
