Recommended Vet Practices in the S6 Area
westyorkshr replied to Simon_G's topic in Sheffield Pet Owners
have you tried hallam vets in Hillsborough, very good vets practice, take my chi's there and they are always well looked after and well catered for -
have you tried your yorkie with other older dogs who are small?

there is a a kitten, 5 months missing from S5

This happened with my chi's, we think someone tried our door or tried to break in, as it was very sudden that it happened. we now have them in crates upstairs in our bedroom and this has worked wonders and they settle down straight away and sleep through most of the night, unless they want some food and water, which they have in there crates, but they only wake us up. I think they just want to know they are safe and that you are ok? they are pack animals after all and being downstairs in the night, might be a bit lonely.

went to this pub the other day and is lovely outside, loving the chickens, my other half called one of the chickens, David Bowie chicken lol. just a quick check are dogs allowed inside? as previous owner allowed this? as got caught in a massive thunderstorm the other day as had to run back to the car which was on the other side of the reservoir. -
working in S6 Hillsborough, there is a known problem with on demand tv but that's it

Would like some thoughts on this dog owner please
westyorkshr replied to Yonksie's topic in Sheffield Pet Owners
my little Chihuahua can sometimes get through children's play area railings as he is that small, and he loves children, but if he had run up to one and the child was scared, first thing i would do is get control of my dog, by picking him up apologies to the mum/dad, turn my chi so his face is the other way from the child to see if the child would feel comfortable stroking him, and explain he only wanted a cuddle and that's why he came up to him, i would then leave it up to the child, if the child didn't want to then fine, but swearing abuse at you and your child is disgusting, its not the child's fault he's scared of dogs. i try and help all little children who are scared of dogs by doing this if the parents feel comfortable by picking him up and turning his face away from the child so they can stroke his back, as he is sooo small, it kind of introduces them to dogs in a relaxed way. -
Use puppy pads, to train him, my little chi used them and because they smell a bit, they use it and its a fairly clean process as once they do there poo on the mat, you can just pick it up.

i would do it without a second thought some people are so horrible to leave there dogs or any other animal in the car for too long, even if i am in the car with my dog when my boyfriend is driving or parked up somewhere for a bit, he has water if he needs it and the window is open fully, so he can feel the breeze and if it gets too hot i take him outside, hate him panting.
