Try looking up the address on 192.com to see if you can find the names of the people. I think you should go anyway, just think if they don't know you too well, and are inviting distant acquaintances to their wedding because they don't have enough family or friends! Go and have a good time, you could be making someone REALLY happy

what do they eat then??

It's still early days yet, deano. Like everyone says keep icing it, If you try to ice it for about 5-10 mins in every hour that should help also elevate and rest it as much as possible. Remember that bruising is bleeding under the skin so elevate it as you would if you were bleeding externally. It could take a few weeks hun before you feel really better, so try not to do anything daft and make it worse. Good Luck.

I cant believe that lots of places had run out of Rat Poison! But I've eventually got some and it's now in place... fingers crossed. Apparently they are enticed, as one would expect, by stupid people putting food out for the birds!! When will people realise that it isn't cold outside, there is plenty of food for the birds to find for themselves, they've been doing it since the beginning of time without their help! Fair enough it the ground if frozen and covered in snow then its a different matter, we can feel sorry for them, but please folks use your common sence. I think it was perfectly that couple in kiveton park getting fined £50 for leaving food all over for the birds. Where are their brains?? Ok, i know its a bit different going to the park to feed ducks around a pond, but as anyone will tell you, the rats will be out at night to see if there is anything left. -

Phoned Council this morning and it will be 2 weeks before anyone can come out!! Apparently they are inundated with calls. Off to buy some rat poison! -
I think we should all become multi-racial individuals, and celebrate EVERY event going!!

If I'd had a rifle this afternoon I would have done! -
Where is it? There is a large shop at Eckington that sells a lot of stuff that is past its 'Best Before' date. Sweets etc can last ages after the best before dates, and so can canned products. Just look back years ago. they never had best before dates!! so if you didn't mark when you bought things you could have them in the cupboards for years. Then it was just a case of trial and error. Have you ever lost the labels off tinned stuff?? It can be very amusing when you come to open the tins! (stewed steak and custard anyone?)

OMG!!! I'm pretty certain it's a rat... I saw a huge one running across my next door neighbours guttering on their garage! It tried to jump up onto an apple tree in my garden but fell onto their other shed! And I heard scurrying in the loft around 5pm! I aint going into the loft! I may look stupid, but i'm not that stupid. Council will get a call in the morning and hopefully will be able to advise... In the meantime, I'm burning incense sticks under the loft door so the smoke will go up there and my daughter is playing loud heavy metal music... if they don't go back outside they should have a headache at least! Thanks for your postings.. I Will keep you all informed -
About £40... Why do you want to know... are you thinking of opening a garage

All quiet on the western front so far today. I think it knows we're listening1 I called it the attic, but I suppose it should be called the loft.. no floorboards or anything, just insulation and stuff... -
I was just curious... Are there any men on here bringing up their children as single parents? I've read quite a lot off single mums, but not found any single dads? If so, do you find it easy to get help or join groups - usually called 'mother' and toddler groups etc Or how do you cope with older children? I have 2 friends, one brings his 3 boys up alone - 11,13 & 16 And the other has just started to look after his 15 year old daughter cos her mum has moved to london to live with her boyfriend.

Thanks everyone for your replies... I don't think its a mouse it was too loud! Not a ghost.. they come into the living room, no need to stay in the attic I've tried to have a look but the bl***y light bulb has blown, so there is no light up there and the torch isn't strong enough... and it's toooooo scary to look with just a little bit of light... I'll leave it til tomorrow.... or maybe monday and phone someone. Well Done Kitty's! Hope you've no more Mathom
