  1. I have to admit, the few times I've played cash games I've always done ok for a while then one bad decision and I'm wiped out. Are some of you guys really increasing your bankroll month in month out? I mean really, no bs now? If so, is this online or offline? I've just got a new 10 seater table and a load of high quality chips and I'm ready for some tuition Maybe a few of us who can't get ahead in the game would be happy to chip in for a master class from a proven player. I know I would. Could have it at my place if you want, or anywhere for that matter. I'd love to learn more and improve my game from a person not a book.
  2. I've played online for a few years for low to medium stakes. It's not my main game but I usually play 6-10 man no limit sit and goes at various sites. I've come 1st many times winning £450 per game but my spreadsheet tells me I'm losing about £600 overall with poker which I put down to the cost of this entertainment over the years which is fine. I like online poker because it allows me to play at 6am if I wish. I'm not very good despite reading countless books and remain a very average player that enjoys it mostly for fun with no delusions of one day becoming the next Chris Moneymaker. Oh well, maybe one day because I am going to enter the world series in vegas at some point just as it's an ambition. You never know, I might get some beginners luck My biggest win was £2500 for 3rd place out of around 600 players. I had such a large chip lead going into the final 3 but was overconfident and blew it which cost me dearly as I should have easily won. Lack of experience I guess when down to the final few in a multi player game. As for offline, I can't be bothered to go out and enter small £20-£100 sit and goes but would consider playing in a local casino if they did a multi player tourney with say £50k+ up for grabs to the winner. I'm sure they probably do these now and again but I never get to hear about them.
  3. Not wanting to sound harsh, but why are you so shocked, you can't just do what you want because it suits your needs. You decided to take a risk and carried out some building work which requires planning permission and a fee. Now that you have been caught out, you can hardly complain. The council have to ensure that this type of work has been done correctly and that you haven't created a danger to the public for safety and legal issues. Low income doesn't come in to it.
  4. Which shop because I returned a card the other day and I resent the term disgusting to be honest.
  5. I'm yet to feel sorry on hearing the news of a dead burglar. In fact, it actually brightens up my day.
  6. Sorry to hear of your impending sadness. You must have given your cat a wonderful life to hit 19 years old.
  7. A lot of guys that go to fitness gyms though seem to only turn up for an hour or so, do a quick workout and they are gone which is fine, but this will only really maintain where they are at. If a man wants to really tone up and become muscular, then he's going to have to work a lot harder, decent loose weights program once or twice a week, maybe some boxing / thai boxing training, some circuit work, 25 miles a week running. Good eating the right foods and enough sleep. A few months to a year of that and there will be a radical difference to just average physique. Some guys are happy to put in this level of effort and a lot more for a whole variety of reasons, looks, confidence, fitness to mention just a few. They are real men.
  8. It depends what type of female a guy wants to attract, what stage of life he is at and what he wants from a woman. Not all men want a long term relationship, intellectual conversation, marriage and kids. Say a guy wants to attract a beautiful girl for a healthy fun and exciting physical relationship, in general he's going to want a good muscular physique. You don't see many really good looking girls with overweight, average or weedy looking guys now do you. Guys don't just work out and want a muscular body solely for this reason but it's an added advantage of enjoying the gym or sports. There's no obsession, just a difference in what men want.
  9. Looking to buy a nice fabric contemporary corner sofa in the next few weeks and would like to go and actually see a few instead of just buying online. Just wondered if anyone has any recommendations or where not to go?
  10. Quite like it, it's designed around wordpress right? I need something similar for a new domain, not gaming related, who did yours or did you do it?
  11. Dore has a few roads of real true wealth. There is a large mix of people in Dore and most do not have anything like big money. Even more so with Totley.
  12. The places I checked out a while ago when I was thinking of sharing were with just the owners only in quiet households in the really nice parts of S10, S17, S7 etc. I understand that you would rather live alone though. Just thought I'd mention it as you spoke about the nicer areas and this method allows that without paying out £800+ per month. Good luck with it, hope you find somewhere.
  13. I saw it too, read a few other articles as well. Never knew that the ripper was caught after picking up a prostitute on Broomhall street and drove her to Melbourne Avenue where he was stopped and arrested.
  14. I know a few single professional types that rent out rooms in their own rather nice homes in areas like Fulwood, Ranmoor, Netheredge etc. They all charge about £350+ per month which doesn't include half your share of the bills. You do get a really nice room though, decent size with en suite to yourself and enjoyment of the rest of the house with the actual owner of the property so the place is kept in premo condition. Don't think you can be a smoker or have pets though. They nearly all require £500 bond and 2 months rent up front so you are looking at initial up front cost of £1200. Contracts of 3 month minimum then renewed every 3 months or longer if you want.
