  1. Hi Does anyone know where I can have a male winter scarf made, pref handmade with a name on it/knitted in? Thanks
  2. I recommend Jonathan (Jf plumbing) for any Gas Safe approved plumbing work. Top guy, excellent work and prices. Tel: 07805122223
  3. I've been told that ones with slower spinner speeds last longer. We've had a cheapy Tricity Bendix (1000 speed) for over 6 years now and its still working like the day we bought it, and it gets used almost everyday.
  4. The socket at the back of the machine is secure and the charger has been tested with a voltage tester and shows up fine. I finally managed to get it working after wiggling the power connector about for a while and the laptop charged up fine. But as i moved it, the connector moved slightly and it stopped charging but had enough battery power to work. Looks like there is a problem with the connector jack at the back of the laptop. Just hope it wont cost too much to have repaired.
  5. Yes tried that too but the lights dont come on as much then. It did come on first time I plugged it in and got as far as the login screen but just doenst seem to have enough power in it to get that far now.
  6. Hi I'm trying to using my Samsung R60+ laptop which has been in storage for a few months now and when i try to charge/power it up, it wont do. I have to move the power cable around for a while to catch the connector at the right angle and hold it there for the charge/power light to come on. This stays on for either minutes or goes off right away so I was just wondering if the battery is completly dead or a problem with the connector. The power adapter has been tested and is fine. It wont power up with the battery removed either. Thank you
  7. Hi I have some vhs videos which I would like to try and put onto dvd but dont know what equipment I will need if anybody knows? Thanks
  8. hi anyone know of someone who can repair my faulty dvd camcorder as the disc loader is faulty and wont work? thanks
  9. I recently went on holiday for a while and when I came back and tried starting my car, I found that the battery was dead so managed to start it up using jump leads. The car drove ok but as I was parking it, it stalled and since then the car wont start/turn over at all. I've bought a new battery but still get the same problem. All the lights on the dashboard light us as normal but the engine will not start or even attempt to do so. I tried the spare key but same problem. The local mechanic had a quick look and tested the connection to the battery etc and couldnt find any problem. He did call an auto electrician who said that it sounds as though there is a problem with the immobiliser and that I would have to have it towed to the Honda dealer. The only problem is that I know someone, who by coincidence has a very similar problem (this happened as he parked the car and when he went back, it wouldnt start). He had his car towed to the honda dealer who told him after checking it that they didnt know what was wrong and that they could fix it by replacing A, B or C etc, costing £100's. If anyone can help me saving money by having it towed to the dealer who will just make me spend more money then please let me know otherwise I will have to scrap a very nice car. The car is a 1999 model Honda Civic. Thank you
  10. Hi Does anyone know a cheap place to buy an empty computer case either with or without the power supply? Thanks
  11. Does anyone know where I can get those plates/fillers which fill the space on the front of a computer after a cd rom drive etc has been removed. I tried PC World but they dont sell them. And what exactly are they called as a blanking plate search on google just showed the metal ones which fit on the back?
  12. This skin condition seems to be increasing in the population. I've noticed quite a few people suffering from it (on their faces) but I'm not sure there is a cure for it.
  13. I was changing the battery on my Yaris and accidently connected it to the wrong terminals which caused a few fuses to blow. I have now changed these but there still seems to be a problem with some of the electrics. The dashboard lights (mph, petrol, miles etc) dont work, as well as the heater and windows. The front headlights work and the car starts so I cant understand what could be causing the problem. Do I need to re-check the fuses to make sure I've not missed one out or could it be another problem? Thanks in advance
