There are more tutorials on the internet than you can shake a stick at. It really depends what you would like to go into. Photoshop, web-design, programming, unix etc.. Though as far as I am aware if you want some sort of certificate you're going to have to spend some money.

It sounds pretty fun and I would be very interested, but I can't imagine many people are going to want to let a load of people into their homes for games and beers. Are there no gaming cafe places left in Sheffield? Maybe we could just find a pub with a big enough TV so we could hook our consoles and all meet there?

If you are wanting a dual-core laptop for £300 you will have to look at companies like Acer. I know lots of people who are happy with them too.

How have I never heard of this before? Its certainly is a great service.. not sure I like how I can't control how much it uploads though... At least it stops people leeching and slowing down the service. The invite system seems to just be there to create hype since you can sign up without an invite just as easily (Longcol's link is just one example)

Is the XP disc damaged? maybe the disc was didn't burn properly if you have just done it yourself?

I believe the eee 701 comes with a customised version of Xandros, it has two desktops. Easy/Advanced. Chances are it is in easy mode and doesn't have a shortcut to the console. You should be able to get to it with ctrl+alt+T

Hi, I know only the basics with linux (and even less with Xandros which the EEEpc comes with) but... Is the blue light on the front of your laptop lit up? If not then maybe FN+F2 will turn it back on. Unless someone else can help you I would try running though the steps on This Page

I tried it a while back too, I didn't get it at all but my GF at the time couldn't get enough. Yes you can make money on it, I made £30 by selling some pretend cat ears lol (3ds max and too much time on my hands). In the end it takes far too much time and work to be worth doing though. I got bored and stopped using it.

I've always agreed with this, except for on call of duty.. the control system is very good for a console FPS and the online community is better on the xbox.
