  1. Just seen that Alcoblog asked me nearly 2 years ago who I got to do my prints. Yes I did use Framework, very pleased I was too. I think my work has improved in the last couple of years, and this year I've dedicated more time to my art but still haven't had an exhibition - I'm working towards having enough material and I'm getting there because I'm running out of space to hang them at home.
  2. Thank you to the above posters, I've only just seen your replies. I'll have a good look and if I use a photo I'll let you know
  3. I've just completed a painting/ drawing of Ecclesall woods and while I'm on a roll, want to do more. Don't like using photos without permission, so if anybody has anything a bit special that they're happy for me to work from, that'd be much appreciated, with a print in it for you if you wish. Here's my picture...
  4. I've lived here nearly 6 years now, never had a problem apart from occasionally struggling to park near my house. I must like it as I usually get itchy feet and move every couple of years. I would say though that the smell, while occasional, can be pretty strong despite the so called improvements.
  5. Yes, went to a gig there a couple of weeks ago. Its got an old school warehouse type vibe- a bit rough and ready, but it's a work in progress and I prefer that anyway to a swanky plush venue....
  6. Faerground Accidents were amazing, it was mental down at the front.
  7. The wonderful Faerground Accidents are looking for an experienced drummer. They play energetic, flamboyant, edgy indie. They've had a couple of acclaimed singles out with regular plays on 6 music, just completed their woeful small towns tour and have gigs lined up including the Crystal stage at Tramlines- that's not far off! Woeful Small Town - Faerground Accidents: Faerground Accidents - Hormones - The Blacksmith'…:
  8. Faerground Accidents are looking for a drummer, have a look to see if they'd suit. They play energetic, flamboyant, edgy indie. They've had a couple of singles out and were due to record a 6 music session this week for Marc Riley and have gigs lined up Woeful Small Town - Faerground Accidents: Faerground Accidents - Hormones - The Blacksmith'…:
  9. Here's a taster of them live- Faerground Accidents - Hormones - Manchester Acad…:
  10. She Makes Me Want To Die - Faerground Accidents: If you like your music vibrant and edgy, check these out while they're still small enough to play in pubs. With hints of Bowie, Pulp and the intensity of early Arctic Monkeys, they are getting noticed, with regular plays on 6 music. They recently supported Adam Ant, and are playing Rotherham and Dronfield in the coming week as part of their small towns tour. Friday 15th May at the Bridge Inn, Rotherham. This is right next to the train station Thursday 21st May at JDs Dronfield, entry on the door is £4
  11. My granny used to put injured birds in a shopping basket hanging from the washing line. That way they're safe from cats until they can fly. A jumper or towel in the bottom for warmth...
  12. No surprise, I was burgled in broad daylight, when I went around my neighbours to warn them to be vigilant and to see if they'd seen anything, a couple had written down the reg of a car being loaded up with stuff at the time, as they thought it looked dodgy, but the police wouldn't even take the reg number, as how are they to know the two are connected?
  13. Had it been on our way home, you may have had a point
  14. I went into town last night with a friend. We decided to get the train, turned up 5mins early, so were waiting on the platform, just the two of us in the dark, and the tannoy clicked in quietly and the voice said 'this is not a place you want to be'.....it was that quiet that momentarily we thought it was someone else lurking there in the dark. It certainly spooked us- so glad when our train arrived! Anyone heard this before?
