  1. Afternoon, I'm looking for a football club in the sheffield area who has vacincies for goal keepers. My Son is 11 & lives in north Sheffield. Thanks *mods if this is in the incorrect section apologies*
  2. Thank you I'm hoping I can find someone to customise a pair with a design I have in mind. Maybe more difficult than I expected.
  3. Morning, Does anyone know an artist in sheffield that would do some artwork on some converse sneaker boots? Required for end of June. Thank in advance.
  4. No its not silly at all.. I think its really good the way you are thinking! TENS are a good form of pain relief, I didn't see them used when I was in practice. I am assuming they could be effective in stimulating the nerves. The physiotherapists play a very important role in the rehablitation process.. perhaps you could give the ward a call tomorrow and see if you could speak to one for more ideas. I am sure they would be more than happy to help you. Let me know how you get on with it
  5. What lovely ideas.. I agree music is a really good idea, check the popping candy idea as stroke patients can experience dysphagia (difficulty in swallowing). In my experience patients having nice smellies and some make up makes them feel much nicer. I know I would have to agree with this. In Sheffield the hairdressers vists the ward at the weekend and can be booked by main reception, perhaps they do this at the hospital where your Sister is. Acute stoke therapy is truly amazing and having first hand experience and involvement in this.. making me feel very honoured to share the journey and passionate about nursing stroke patients. Sending love to your Sister and yourself
  6. I know you will but make sure you keep your proof of purchase safe. Tj hughes wont help at all even if it is faulty... much to my dismay.
  7. Agree very much me and my OH are regular weekend visitors to York.. lovely atmosphere especially at night a must when visiting.
  8. How very helpful of you Brian. Restores my faith in humantiy. Im no fire eater but if there is anything else you need help with like leaflet distribution, stalls, etc please get in touch. I would be more than happy to help.. fantastic cause.
  9. There is.. annoys me when I pay full price for things and then I see everyone and there mother wearing them! My DD loves PB.. not my idea of what looks nice but hey she is a teenager.. she will prob cringe when she is older though. As for Barbour.. love their shop in York shame such a timeless make has been 'knocked off'. Ah well such is fashion.
  10. Do you know of any groups? I have emailed a couple. Thank you.
  11. Evening all, Do you have any sensible suggestions of a group/ social activity that will help my teenage daughter to build self confidence and build a new circle of friends. I was thinking along the lines of karate or kick boxing. We live in North Sheffield and would pref like it to be local for us. Kind regards in advance.
  12. I too have read 'Fiona's story'. Such an emotional story and you do feel the emotions as you are reading. It's written very well.
  13. Sounds genuine to me I think there might also be a thread about the palace cafe on the forum somewhere, all positive feedback. I must pay a visit, home made cakes nom nom!
