  1. I can't help but feel that you are being hypocritical with what you're saying there. The roll of the Door Supervisor is to maintain the safety of the staff, customers and building. The only time a Door Supervisor should touch anyone is when removing them from the premises. The only time any of our Door Supervisors have placed their hands on women have been in these situations, and the vast majority of the time the issues are arguments between customers, there are resolved by the Door Supervisors (where possible) and the people are allowed to continue their night under a watchful eye. We have not had any major incidents during the time we have been open, and we frequently receive very good feedback about the Door Supervisors and the rest of the staff. As for the 'people we let it', I'm not quite sure what you're getting at? Out clientele is predominantly LGBT, and any straight people who come in are mostly the friends of staff. Rather than hearing everything second hand, why not come in and give us a try to decide for yourself?
  2. As other people have said, that's the going rate for Fruli, in fact it's the cheapest on West Street, other places charge up to £5.80. We do have quite an extensive range of draught lagers and beers starting at £2.80 for the standard prices, and £2.60 for the Happy Hour prices, Tuesday nights and Wednesday nights, during these times, Fruli is at a reduced price of £4.60 too. As for Gossips, again,. we've not heard anything other than what everyone else has heard and what has been posted to their FB Page
  3. We've not set it in stone yet, but we're thinking £5 per pint (£2.50 half) during the standard price times. Then £4.80 per pint (£1.90 half) during happy hours, Tuesday nights and Wednesday Nights
  4. We're hoping that Twist & Fuel will take off, it might finally make a start on bringing the LGBT scene in Sheffield back to how it used to be in days of old. It's just a shame that we're all so far away from each other. As for Gossips, we've heard a lot of speculation about it, but don't really want to comment on it until these speculations are dis-proven or become facts For anyone interested, we are having Fruli (Strawberry beer) installed tomorrow, just another addition to our range of drafts, we also have some new vodkas and a new rum added to the spirit range too Hope you're all looking forward to the weekend!
  5. I shall suggest to the people running it to have a read, I think a gay night once the downstairs is up and running would be a brilliant idea. I think their intentions are to stay gay friendly, after all it was some of the gay scene regulars who kept it afloat when it was Affinity, plus the people who are running it know a lot of the gay scene regulars
  6. We haven't heard anything up here about Gossips either. I hope the maintenance isn't anything too bad. There's nothing worse than a flood or something breaking down to disrupt trade
