  1. Hi BeeNice, There's a statement from our Head of Service which may help explain, which you can read on our website at https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/out--about/parks-woodlands--countryside/allotments/allotment-news.html with regards Ceri Ashton on behalf of Sheffield City Council Allotment Office
  2. Hi, Just to clarify, what we have sent out is notification of the charges for 2013/14, with a reminder of the 2012/13 charges, and new tenancy agreements for all those who took on their plots before 1st April 2011 (anyone who took on a plot since then already has the new tenancy agreement). The invoices themselves will follow later this month. You can't make the payment until you receive your invoice. with regards Ceri Ashton on behalf of Sheffield City Council Allotment Office
  3. Hi All, Our ranger went to turn the supply on today, following the completion of the installation of the new taps (which are plastic, so hopefully won't get stolen!). I'm afraid he found some leaks, and had to turn the supply off again. The leaks have been reported for urgent repair; we will get the supply back on as soon as possible. with regards Ceri Ashton on behalf of Sheffield City Council Allotment Office
  4. Hi 'Sooz79', If you'd like to email or message me I can let you know where you are on the waiting list for Rivelin and give you a rough idea of how much longer you may expect to wait. An alternative in that area is the Hagg House site, which has a shorter waiting list. We do still have allotments available at Corker Bottoms, Manor, but I appreciate it's quite a long way from S6 with regards Ceri Ashton on behalf of Sheffield City Council Allotment Office
  5. Hi 'CrazyDazy', We are still invoicing in April. As communicated to tenants in March 2011, the rents for April 2012-March 2013 have increased by 7.5% compared to April 2011-March 2012 with regards Ceri Ashton on behalf of Sheffield City Council Allotment Office
  6. Hi 'HarrietStar', Can you confirm your full name? If you'd sooner reply off the forum, my email address is ceri.ashton@sheffield.gov.uk. The Community Payback team are still working at the site for the rest of the month. The Allotment Manager Michael Peacock is visiting the site this week to assess which plots can now be let out. We don't clear all plots before letting, it depends how severely overgrown they are, but we do allocate all plots in accordance with the waiting list. with regards Ceri Ashton on behalf of Sheffield City Council Allotment Office
  7. Hi 'MC55', Yes, April. It will be just after Easter this year, then 1st April every year thereafter with regards Ceri Ashton on behalf of Sheffield City Council Allotment Office
  8. Hi 'Gnomi', When you pay over the phone you get an authorisation code which you can quote if there are any queries over the payment, but you don't get a receipt or letter. I can check your account is clear if you like, send me an email to ceri.ashton@sheffield.gov.uk or call 2734771. I'm sorry you never received my reply about putting a greenhouse on your plot. If there are no other structures you don't need permission. If you already have a shed then you do need permission, again you can email me. The greenhouse must not exceed 8ftx 10ft, and should be in a line with structures on other plots. There's some more information on pages 35 and 36 of the handbook with regards Ceri Ashton on behalf of Sheffield City Council Allotment Office
  9. Hi, If you have an allotment with Sheffield City Council and have not paid January's invoice, the payment is now overdue and we are in the process of issuing Notices to Quit. It's not too late to pay; if we receive payment within the notice period, the notice will be rescinded. If you have not received an invoice or are having any other problems paying, please contact us on 2734528 or 2734771. We are receiving a lot of calls at the moment but if you can't get through please leave a message and we will call you back. Alternatively you can email pwc.allotments@sheffield.gov.uk. If you wish to pay over the phone, you need to call 2735249 and select option 6 to pay an invoice. You will need to use the 14 digit reference number right at the bottom of the front of the invoice, which begins with 8. with regards Ceri Ashton on behalf of Sheffield City Council Allotment Office
  10. Hi 'Fishing1808', I'm afraid it isn't something we generally provide. Perhaps try talking to the allotment society? Some societies get communal deliveries of manure with regards Ceri Ashton on behalf of Sheffield City Council Allotment Office
  11. Hi 'Ickle Ed', I'm sorry you've had no reply. If you'd like to email me at ceri.ashton@sheffield.gov.uk with your full name I can let you know where you are on the waiting list with regards Ceri Ashton on behalf of Sheffield City Council Allotment Office
  12. Hi HS59, If you'd like to give me a call on 2734771, we may be able to split your plot, or put you in touch with someone from the waiting list with regards Ceri Ashton on behalf of Sheffield City Council Allotment Office
  13. Hi barbiegirl80, There's currently a team from Probabtion Services clearing rubbish and vegetation from around 40 disused plots which will then be offered out. We can only offer plots out in accordance with the waiting list, but you'll move up quickly once the cleared plots get allocated with regards Ceri Ashton on behalf of Sheffield City Council Allotment Office
  14. Hi Andeldore, It sounds like you've made a really good start and based on what you've said I'd be surprised if we needed to write to you. However if you're concerned please feel free to give me a call on 2734771, I'd be more than happy to talk things through with you with regards Ceri Ashton, on behalf of Sheffield City Council Allotment Office
