  1. Hi all I need to find a reliable place to service & MOT my transit van. Ideally in the Crosspool/Crookes area. Anyone any suggestions? Thanks
  2. I'd be up for playing too. I've not played in ages and would love to get back into it. Need to practice and get fit again.
  3. Did you get your tree removed? I could possibly take it away for you.
  4. I think he means for the air con on his car. I need mine doing too so if you find anywhere please let me know.
  5. Trackday's are fantastic. I've been to Mallory Park and Bedford Autodrome. Bedford was great. It's a really good track with loads of run off and very few barriers so you're very unlikly to hit anything if you spin off Just debating where to go next. Hmmm....
  6. Hi there Are you after the upvc door for security and durability or for the looks. I ask because you can get wooden ones that also have the same security and features etc as a upvc door, but with the better looks of a wooden door. I've just supplied and fitted a great door to customer who swapped her upvc one for a wooden one. Mainly due to the large cill/threshold you have to step over with the upvc doors, which most people don't realise. If you like I can call round and measure up so I can give you a qoute. This could be for any type of door by the way. My number is 07876751816 Thanks
  7. Yes, yes and yes. You can contact me on 07876751816. Here's a thread with a little more details. http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=163331 Please feel free to drop me a line.
  8. Here's a couple of link to give you all the facts http://www.cscs.uk.com/ http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/cis/ Basically.... The CSCS card is an individual identification and registration card (similar to a credit card) which lasts for three or five years. The CSCS card shows that the holder is considered to be competent at his or her job, lists any relevant certificates and also shows that the holder has undergone health and safety awareness training or testing. Can't remember the excact cost of the CSCS card but think it's around £15. But if you request the forms off the site it'll tell you the current price on the forms. Hope this helps.
  9. This site will tell you your actual download and upload speeds. http://www.speedtest.net/ Also try this one as it'll give you a comparison for your connection http://www.adslguide.org.uk/tools/speedtest.asp Hope this helps
  10. I spent 2 years learning joinery and also 2 years learning furniture making at collage and am still learning now, whilst working in the trade. The only reason I could see someone going on one of these courses would be to gain some additional basic knowledge on how it's done, but can't see anyone gaining anything more than that. Perhaps useful for that occasional time you might need to do something extra, but realistically you'd just get the correct tradesman for the job.
  11. Hi, I'm wanting to do some volenteering abroad but am having trouble finding anyone who doesn't want silly amounts of money for my services. I'm a joiner and surely somewhere out there on my way to Australia there must be a country that needs joiners. So far all the places I've found want me to pay thousands of pounds for the me to do any volentary work. I'm happy paying for flight's etc but paying to help out is just rediculous. I can't believe there are companies making money out of people volenteering. Is it me?
  12. Marinellos on Ecclesall road is very good, but it's not cheap.
  13. I really can't understand why some think it's acceptable to do this. I hear all the time people telling me that someone was due to come and do some work, took the day off to let them in, only to find they didn't turn up or call to let them know. Then when you call the tradesman he says he was on another job. Sounding like this is perfectly acceptable. It just does my head in and completely baffles me. When I'm doing a job I turn up on the day agreed and do the work. It's simple! If for some rare reason I can't then I let the person know. There are just no excuses now that we all have mobile phones. I've noticed that people really appreciate it when you are reliable, tidy and do a quality job. If anyone wants a friendly reliable joiner or advice then I'd be only too happy to help.
