  1. And when Sheffield has public transport spending per head equivalent to London maybe we can introduce such measures here.
  2. It belongs to the people of Sheffield. The council are attempting to steal it from us.
  3. There needs to be proper signs as well. Painted on speed limits on there own are not enforceable.
  4. I've bought from them in the past and my father's used them twice. However, some of their cars are better than others. Went to look at an Audi that was covered in stone chips. The price was way too high for a car in that condition.
  5. The Games were 25 years ago (1991), not 30 and Don Valley Stadium didn't even last that long.
  6. No mention of the land being sold. There may well be nothing expressly prohibiting the sale of a building. There are restrictions regarding the sale of land. I think 'Siobhan' (no surname, who is she, does she exist?) is trying to fob us off.
  7. That stall was there for you to celebrate your season of consumerism.
  8. There are plenty of things (Christmas trees, crackers, turkey, mulled wine, etc.) that have nothing to do with the religious side of Christmas, but they are a damned sight more festive than a big truck full of sugary fizzy pop.
  9. But there is a brand of watch called Seagull which is ironic considering the thread title.
  10. The air raid sirens will scare the **** out of anyone that's watched Threads.
  11. If you took out a 25 year mortgage and after 5 years interest rates were much lower would you (a) carry on paying the same each month or (b) negotiate a mortgage for the remaining 20 years at a lower rate?
  12. Also, if a business gives a good service we're allowed to name them. Are we allowed to name a company that is merely average? Where do the moderators draw the line?
  13. I had a look round once when working for them. The computers underground are protected. The walls at ground level are angled to deflect the blast upwards. The staff who mainly work above ground would be wiped out.
  14. Could have been a sixteen year old bus with knackered electrics.
