  1. White tattoos are pretty good but I'd look at UV tattoos as too. (Wow that's a lot of "toos" in one sentence!) The UV tattoos look like white tatts but they also glow in the dark under UV lights in some places! They look pretty awesome! Edit: PM "Irezumi" on SF, he has a great tattoo shop in Sheffield with good custom work, I'm sure he'd be able to give you some advice
  2. Warmer winters? With all the snowfall last Winter I don't see how this can be true. The weatherman/weatherwoman can't tell me accurately what the weather is going to be next week, why would I believe that they can tell me accurately what it's going to be in 10 years?
  3. Older maybe, but not always wiser. The main issue I have is older generations being disrespectful to younger generations with the mindset that they're somehow superior. This is echoed in the OP with things that I've put in bold. I don't think I'd get a welcome reception if I made a thread about how easy it is to criticize older generations and complain about them hanging around bus stops, smoking and swearing - even though they do. I don't see the problem with any of those things - they're all personal choices. Mary Schmich (Chicago Tribune, 1997) said it best when she wrote: "Accept certain inalienable truths, prices will rise, politicians will philander, you too will get old, and when you do you’ll fantasize that when you were young prices were reasonable, politicians were noble and children respected their elders." Everyone has been young and nothing has changed. Stories that my Dad (61 years old) tells me about his youth bring up memories of mine which would support this. I could honestly write for decades on this subject but I've got better things to do
  4. So are you contesting the CCTV evidence? The incident of the DJ being hit and then Gerrard laying into him has been shown. Even if Gerrard was provoked, he's paid millions each year and part of his career is to not rise to it. It's unproffesional conduct. Guilt isn't always proven in a legal sense which is the harsh reality of the CJS but it doesn't mean that Gerrard isn't guilty.
  5. I'm still of the opinion that United will win the title - none of the other top four have made transfers to change my mind on that. I'd be interested to see how well Chelsea are going to do - a new manager, even if they're seen as good, will always have to work hard in their first season. We saw how bad Scolari did last season and he was surrounded by a lot more hype. I'm also hoping to see greater things from Arsenal as their younger side have got that little bit more experiece - on the other hand I still think they'll struggle. I think Man City will be favourites to claim a spot in the top 4 and I wouldn't dispute that - let's hope that the quality players they've signed will work together. I'd love to see Everton do well as I'm a big fan of David Moyes and he worked with such a small squad last season and still had some success.
  6. If I was on the money Gerrard was I'd let them say what they wanted. People could say "Liverpool scum" and I'd reply "Yes but I'm a millionaire and your wife has probably fantasized about me".
  7. What annoyed me more was the way it was reported... "Steven Gerrard attacked a member of the public" Isn't HE a member of the public too? Saying statements like that influence people to hold celebs in higher regard when really we're all just people. It's most likely that any other person would have received some sort of punishment. It's a poor reflection on the CJS.
  8. But Ryan Giggs is also a lot older than Owen. You've got remember that Owen (although I always feel it seems he's still really old because he's been playing for so long) is only 29 - which is a great age for a stiker to be. He might have had the odd injury but at Utd. I can see him having to work a lot less to get the ball in a prime spot to be a goal threat. This should hopefully equate to less chance of being injured. At the end of the day Utd. have won lots of trophys because of super subs (Solkjaer and Sheringham spring to mind) if Owen could do that same then I'd be happy.
  9. Not bad at all... I'll be interested to see what happens with Gerrard because of recent news!
  10. Ryan Giggs has proven that pace isn't everything - since he's lost his pace he's still playing some amazing football. I think United could do the same with Owen and help facilitate his progression into a smarter player instead of someone who relies on their pace. It also seems he's fitted in well with the team which I think is an important factor for any new player trying to get settled. Hopefully it'll mean United can utilize Owens talent as quickly as possible. Edit: Just a quick add as well. Van Nistelrooy was a great poacher of the ball and didn't have much pace. It would be interesting to see if Owen could pick up a similar role (providing the midfield can provide the ball to him)
  11. It's not about knowing what I'm talking about it's about my opinion. I'm not arguing that he hasn't been good at Barca but compared to how we was at Arsenal I don't think he could better that. This relates (although he's still young) to Ronaldo and his 07/08 season. He might play some amazing football at Real Madrid but expectations are so high that I think he'll be somewhat of a disappointment no matter how well he plays.
