  1. One of the earlier posters recommended selling on Ebay. A better option might be to try Etsy I know a few people who sell handmade crafts on it.
  2. Try another cable as this could be faulty. If the cable is the wrong way around the floppy light usually stays on, is that happening at all?
  3. had a quick google try 000000 if that doesn't work it is possible to set it by booting from either Ultimate boot CD or a linux live cd and then modifying the file that stores the password
  4. It is possible that your laptop is a 802.11b adaptor and your own wireless router is set to 802.11b but your partners is set to 802.11g. Have a look on the setup of your own wireless router to see what it is set to
  5. Rollerpalooza was awesome. The Sheffield Steel Rollergirls were there. If you want to join us or just find out more check us out on Myspace page or Facebook
  6. More specifically Lesbian, I've seen them twice in Sheffield Once at the Uni and once at the memorial hall. If you can get them for plug i'd definitely go
  7. Sounds like its a problem with the connection to the ISP. try the following one at a time power cycle the router Swap the micro filter reset the router to factory defaults and re-enter all usernames/passwords required. (Make sure you know what they are) try the router in the main phone socket in the house Unplug all other phones in the house with the router still in main phone socket If you have a spare compatible router try that report the fault to the ISP
  8. If she is connecting a wire from the laptop directly into the phone socket then it is most likely a dial up internet connection. First try a normal phone in the socket to make sure that you can hear a dial tone. dial the number that the computer dials from the handset to make sure that you get the squeaks and whistles. Assuming all is ok so far. re-create the dial up networking connection. if still no joy then re-install the modem drivers.
  9. first check the physical connection to the router, swap the cable, try it in a different port and remove and replug the cable into the p.c.
  10. Just wanted to say, I've been going to the Roller Derby for about 4 weeks now and am absolutely loving it. Its a fantastic work out, a lot better than any Gym, and A great set of ladies who are very friendly and welcoming. Even if you have never skated before (I hadn't) you'll soon pick it up and have a blast.
  11. I've got the old shape Skoda Fabia V RS which I love. I would think they are available for £5000 now. My favourite new small car at the moment is the fiat 500, I know its based on the panda but looks really good
  12. Check in the BIOS to see if Wake-on-Lan is enabled. Disable if it is
  13. There are three possibilities to do this 1) You have a network enabled printer, This would be obvious from the set up instructions and features listed, in which case it will just need setting up. If nothing is mentioned then on to 2 & 3 2) You buy a network print server this converts a usb/parallel printer to a network printer either wired or wireless, cost approx £50 3) you share the printer from the Main P.C will definitely work but will require the X.P P.C to be turned on and logged in for the printer to work from your laptop
  14. May be worth checking and swapping your ADSL filters
