  1. It wasn't that when I was a member. And we're talking a good 8 or 10 years ago now.
  2. Oh, the last time I renewed my membership at Rileys, a good couple of years ago now, it was really high. I can't remember now, but I didn't play that much, so it was money wasted. I'm a casual player, I don't play really very often, so I just thought a pub where I can play would be better. Thanks though!
  3. Thanks guys! I knew about Hallamshire House, I've been there before, but someone told me the table had been removed after the place changed hands?
  4. Hi Guys, I'm wondering if you can tell me where there are any pubs in Sheffield (ideally near S10 or S2) that have full size snooker tables to play on? I used to be a member of Rileys on Eccy Road, but I don't play enough to justify the high price of the membership. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  5. Just past the Olive Grove Bus Depot, by DOT MOT and The University/College Engineering building, the road is sealed off. Multiple Police and Fire Engines and the whole area has been evacuated. Just a heads up for people if they're travelling that way soon.
  6. I couldn't disagree more. My Grandfather passed away in October on Hadfield 3 at the NGH. He was treated with care, respect and dignity at all times. The care was superb! As regarding the original post, its not the hospital that is to blame, it is the Surgeon. He decides the order of the waiting list, and usually, gallbladder operations are left towards the end of the day, as they are regarded as 'dirty procedures', along with abcesses etc. I hope this helps.
  7. Drove up to Lodge Moor and it was snowing heavily at 10am. An inch or maybe two on the ground when you get past The Three Merry Lads. I decided to drive up to the resevoir, but couldn't get all the way there as the road was covered and the car struggled.
  8. He passed away at 2:15am this morning. Thank you everyone for the support.
  9. Thank you both for the kind words. I appreciate them. I just thought it'd be nice so if any of the staff frequent SF, the maybe they could see how much they are appreciated. Also it might counter some of the horror stories you hear about the NHS. He's comfy, painfree and thats all my family can ask for.
  10. My Grandad is sadly within the last few days of his life thanks to Myeloblastic Leukemia and is a patient on Sir Robert Hadfield Ward 3 at the Northern General Hospital. I just wanted to create this thread to convey my utmost gratitude and thanks to the staff and Doctors on Hadfield 3. You have treated myself and my Grandad with the highest standard of care and compassion and nothing is any trouble at all. We're allowed to visit him anytime as he's in a side room and they often offer to make us something to eat and drink late at night. Sadly it won't be long before my Grandad loses his fight for his life but you're keeping him pain free, comfortable and treating him with dignity. Thank you.
  11. Excuse me, I'm no Chav! I'm perfectly normal. Now, would you mind completing a questionaire so I can gauge what you thought about my 'waving and control' skills?
  12. I could give him a fact or three, but he wouldn't like them!
  13. :hihi: I can agree about the Airport Pub. When we were taxiing to the runway bound for Heraklion in Crete, a whole group of people were stood waving at the plane.
  14. No wonder the OP has noticed the Engines are having problems! And no wonder the Yanks are having no problems. They don't suck carp into their pumps!
