  1. Thank you. Needs to be done in next week or two really but I'll try your recommendation.
  2. Have to agree with that last point, stuck there myself this morning. No surprise that they're likely to redevelop the old Mill as housing, and I'm comfortable enough with that rather than it remaining a run down industrial usage area. I'd massively object to the provision of further housing on the playing fields - that's just ridiculous. Thankfully it's merely pointed out that it's owned by the developer and hopefully they won't build on there, would be a proper kick in the nuts if they were to do so - it's a really lovely piece of land used for many a recreational pursuit (football, fishing, canoeing etc).
  3. If you have a smart phone there's an app called AnimatedKnots or something similar, handy for keeping on there for when you're out - easy to follow diagrams etc.
  4. Bus patronage has been in decline (steadily) for years. So no real surprises here then? :/
  5. About time the people of Sheffield got on board with the concept of 'interchange'. Unfortunately it's unlikely you'll have a direct service to everywhere you want to go to, whod'da thunk it?! Especially those travelling for NOTHING that seem to shout the loudest! The rest of the world seems to manage ok with it, why not us?
  6. Has the thread on tram tracks and cycles been deleted? Any reason why??!
  7. I met him for the first time last week after I'd taken a wrong turn in the woods down to his property - seemed ok to me, made a fuss of my dog and had a quick natter.
  8. It'd be wonderful to shop for everything locally but ; A) I'd have little money left for anything else and B) The majority of 'local' shops only open during working hours (you can guess what I'm doing at the same time they're open!) Sadly in an age when both people in a household tend to work full time it's just not viable to shop around anymore.
  9. A depressing array of choices for Penistone & Stocksbridge!
  10. Noooo, only Indian takeaway that doesn't make me ill Best in the area by far.
  11. They are lovely flats at Kingswood, remember looking around one about 10 or so years ago but couldn't afford to rent one at the time. Shame there's few amenities in walking distance (shops/pubs etc) otherwise I think the take up would've been better, there always appears to be one or two up for sale or to rent.
  12. I hate fishing in the cold! You can add wind to that as well. Really don't mind the rain but give me a nice sunny or warm day anytime! My fingers always suffer at this time of year and feel like they're about to fall off...hence why I don't bother.
  13. Pretty weird how folk get so uppity when someone has a camera yet don't bat an eyelid when they're likely being filmed in any busy public place...
