    I would go for a Canon 100 times over, in this house we have Canons and Nikons and i would definatly go for the canon anyday. I really don't like using the Nikon- i find it hard work and the results arent good. I have a Canon 300V and a Canon 300D and they are both suberb cameras. All my lenses interchange so i can use the 70-300mm zoom i have on both cameras. One thing i would recomend though is going for a 28-300mm zoom if you can afford it, they are so much more worth while as the need for carrying round 2 lenses is gone and there is no awkward lense changes which may result in you missing your photo! Over all i would go for the Canon 350D, or a second hand 300D. They are both fantastic cameras!
