  1. Mike somebody from this forum collected some Ikea furniture from me on 13th August. I've lost his phone number, and I said I'd get back in touch to arrange for him to collect some more stuff. Mike, if you see this, please can you PM me your number? Thanks.
  2. There's a smashing little place just above Wynnats Pass - got to the top and turn left through the farm gate. Drive or walk along the track and the site is on the left.
  3. This is Yorkshire. People are genetically endowed with short arms and deep pockets.
  4. Brilliant - thank you. I spent ages looking through their website trying to find that info - never thought to go back to Google! D'oh.
  5. I have a bike that needs some work - does anybody know Langsett Cycle's opening times? Thanks.
  6. I need a new French window fitting. Previous threads on this are a bit out of date. Can anyone recommend a local company that they have used recently? Thanks.
  7. Sale Amount: Free Reason for Rehome / Sale: Owner going to uni Time Scale – How Urgent?: Within three weeks Has the Cat ever been in Rescue: No Location: Pitsmoor Age & Sex: about three years old Vaccinated & Wormed : wormed not vaccinated Neutered & Micro chipped: Both Breed/ Mix: Ordinary Moggy Colour/markings: Tortoishell and white ("Calico") Long/Shorthaired: Shorthaired Live in / Or in and out: Uses cat flap Used to a cat flap: Yes Ever lived with other cats/dogs/other animals: Yes Any Current or Historical Health or Psychological Issues: None Temperament: Plaful, kittenish, loving OK with Dogs / Cats: Has lived OK with both Can the Cat be picked up and put in a basket without risk of scratching: Yes Can the Cat be groomed without risk of scratching: Yes Good or Bad with Children: Good Dislike of Men or Women: She's a tart - will cuddle up to anyone Housetrained: Yes Any further General Information you can share. She's a small, gorgeous puss who loves a bit of fuss, and the owner is heartbroken that he can't take her to uni with him. (I live in tied accommodation for my job, so can't have her) She'd be brilliant for a family with kids who want a small cat but can't cope with the fragility and work of a kitten, or as a devoted companion for a single person.
  8. Day at the races? The only significant cost is transport there and back, and family and friends could contribute to a pot he can use for betting.
  9. I need someone urgently to do some odd-jobs on my house. So far I have identified: - Fix door - the hinge has come off and the wood of the jamb the hinge screws go into is split. - Repair down pipe from gutter. It's push fit stuff. - Cement in a loose down-pipe. - Re-plaster a small area of ceiling. - Possibly re-tile bath surround. These jobs need doing as soon as possible. Does anyone know of someone good at this kind of stuff? I'd prefer a recommendation based on experience, and SF has always come up trumps when I've been looking for that. Thank you.

She’s pretty and small boned with a lovely temperament. She lives with my son, who is going overseas, and I have a cat that tries to kill other cats, so I can’t have her. She’s used to being on her own all day when my son is at work.
  11. I have an elderly, deaf, poorly sighted Springer who has been brilliantly looked after by a truly wonderful groomer I found on Sheffield Forum. (At least, I think she groomed him. I sometimes think she must have a stock of nice new springers that she supplies when the old ones get scruffy...) But she has moved house and given up grooming :-( I need to have the old lad washed, clipped and generally scrubbed up. Is there anyone here who could do him for me this coming Monday or Tuesday?
  12. Bottles????? At that age, the child should be drinking from a cup, and eating a normal balanced diet. Good grief!
  13. My company don't do an office Christmas party. But they are all coming to my Christmas party/leaving Sheffield do. I like the idea that they all have to be nice to me....
  14. WELL DONE! Home made mince pies are Christmas magic on a plate. I can't imagine a single reason for buying stodgy, tasteless, oversweet confections when it takes a few minutes to make light, crispy, tasty mince pies.
  15. Doesn't ANYBODY make their own? Shame on you all!
