  1. I have only just found out the awful news from a neighbour and still cannot believe it. He was a very experienced biker. His son is my sons best friend and just about to break the news to him, wife working at moment so will have to tell her. God bless you Rob and the family.
  2. Like most people we moved to Ecclesall for the schooling and payed alot of money even though it was 8 years ago. It is not fair when people out of the area commit fraud and prevent the kids in the catchment area getting in to their local school. Some people think that we are loaded because of where we live, far from it, we struggle to keep our house which makes me mad when other people get upto tricks like this.
  3. Wondered if other any other parents have recently received a letter from the council stating that you must be able to prove you live in our area to get your child in to school. Fortunately our kids have been in the local schools since we lived around here, but goes to show that there must be alot of fictious applications etc.
  4. Can anyone out there recommend a good graphic design company for a new start company, need assistance in the area of Logo Design. Seen loads of local websites etc, but would rather choose someone recommended by another biz owner.

  7. The new key has sorted it! Thank God! Thanks for the advice guys.
  8. cheers guys for the prompt replies! I have tried to fill the tank with with the knob next to the filling key and water is spilling all over the place and therefore not going in the tank. Which makes me think the valve is not locking off when I use the filling key. Any others suggestions, I was thinking of just buying another plastic key which will probably have to buy from Worcester bosch.
  9. Hi Everyone, Just wondered if anyone out thier can help me or make suggestions to the following. I have a 28CDI Boiler, which keeps losing pressure (another story I know) anyway, in order to fill boiler to with water to regain pressure you need the white plastic filling key which opens the valve to let water in etc. When I insert my current key and lock it into place and turn anti-clockwise it no longer opens the valve, therefore cannot fill the tank up etc. Having looked closely at the key it has 2 plastic pins which should lock onto the valve, they look worn to me could this be the problem ie they are not catching to lock on the valve, if so is this a normal problem and does anyone know where I can by a new key to try etc. Also changed the rubber washes on the key just in case but made no difference. The key is def not catching the locks. Any ideas folks. Garry
  10. When I first started getting interested in fishing at about 10 years old, living in wincobank at the time our nearest fishing tackle shop was on Hinde House Lane. Does anyone remember this I think it was called Bill Broughtons and I always remember this old guy who probably seemed ancient to me at the time but probably was only in his 50s. I think it was bill himself and he used to be a fountain of knowledge to me as a whipper snapper. I remember as you walked in to the right there was a counter full of multi-coloured floats a true aladdins cave to me as a kid. The shop now is an hairdressers, any ideas what happend to him etc.
  11. Got my mouth watering about those chips that used to stick together, and the fishcakes were out of this world!
  12. I remember going with me Grandad and Uncles we used to rent a cottage at Holland Fen, and as a lad used to fish the little 40ft drain. It was only about 3 -4 ft deep and maybe 6ft wide and you had to be very very quiet sometimes you could see the shoals of fish coming up the drain only small ones, although did catch a nice bream one day. Also used to fish a bay section on the drain called Gill End does anyone remember this? Great memories.
  13. Yes I remember is because my Grandparents lived on Manor, as a young sprog Tentown appeared gigantic and used to scare me to death! Remember it all being made out of timber etc.
  14. My grandparents used to live on Tuffolds Close on the Manor Estate now no longer exists. But when I used to visit them we always went to becketts chip shop on the manor top this would have been in the mid 70s early 80s. I remember their chips and cake were out of this world! they used to fry their stuff in dripping - also remember a chip shop on corporation st again this no longer exists and Mr Beckett had something to do with that I think his Daughter owned it back in mid 90s. Anyway doe anyone know of any good chippies as good as theirs? Wondered also if anyone remembered the Windle family my uncles are David, Johnny, William, Eddy, Beryl me mum and Sue Windle.
