  2. Disability Sheffield invites you and your friends to an evening of guitar rock sensations Millstone Grit, followed by the sublime and wonderful MeerCat Jazz band and last but not least the amazing drag artiste, Tia-Anna. And it's happening THIS Saturday. All this in just one evening for your pure entertainment and at a phenomenally low cost of £6/£5 per person too. All proceeds go to help keep going the vital services Disability Sheffield provides to support disabled people in Sheffield. So have a great evening and know that by doing so you're really supporting disabled people too. There's a bar, LIVE MUSIC, dancing if you want to, the obligatory raffle (but ours is quite a good one!) So the details are Pick 'n' Mix 2018 Saturday 20th January 2018 The Crookes Social Club, Mulehouse Road, Sheffield, S10 1TD 7.30 pm - 11.30 pm £6.00 (£5 concessions) FULLY ACCESSIBLE and EVERYONE WELCOME!!!
  3. Exactly. It's not funny for the people living around here.
  4. I am fortunate enough to be having a two night break with my PA/carer in Paris soon. However I'm finding it hard to find accessible accommodation. We need a twin room and all the ones I've come across so far are doubles. Beginning to feel a little deflated. I don't think it's out of the ordinary. I just wondered if on the off chance any one knows of a, hopefully cheap, accessible hotel with twin bedded disability access rooms. Thanks everyone. There's such irony in this. Twenty five years ago I campaigned for disability accessible hotel rooms to be double because they all seemed to be twins! Guess we need a mixture. Maybe if they made the family rooms jointly disability accessible rooms, they'd be a bed configuration to suit everyone.
  5. My daughter and I thought we'd try the NEW 'New Inn' on Hemsworth Road. The menu had a comprehensive range of food on offer and our meals were freshly cooked and delicious. The New Inn was fully refurbished in the Autumn of last year and is now smartly decorated and very comfortable. Since our first visit we've been several times and each time we've had a good time. Our last visit was to their Sunday cavery which the whole family enjoyed. If you've not had a chance to visit since the new owners took over, it's worth a visit. They have lots of activities goiong on to which we haven't been to as yet. The web site is www.newinnsheffield.com
  6. My lovely cat went out of the house on 5th April and never came home again. I miss him terribly. He was such a happy chappy. Here is a link to his picture: You might need to copy and paste it. (I realise it's unlikely to hear good news but I just thought I'd try once more.) BTW he's neutered and microchipped.
  7. Thanks Medusa, She contacted me and I sent her another link by PM. Unfortunately it's not my kittie. :-(
  8. Is this the cat? https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...9439502&type=1
  9. Thank you for replying so soon. I read your message as Black and white, not blue and white. I hope you find the owner. Thank you for being so thoughtful and helping find the owner.
  10. I have lost my black and white cat. He went missing on 5th April. He could have easily got in a car or van. He is microchipped and neutered. If it's him please let me know by PM asap. Thank you Here is a copy of my post, with link to photo: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10152744953694502&set=p.10152744953694502&type=1 My lovely cat went missing on Saturday 5th April after breakfast. I've been in contact with local vets, the RSPCA, Council road cleaners, neighbours. But no sightings anywhere. He is approx 14 months old, black and white, a bit like Felix from the cat food advert. He is small and friendly and likes to lick your hand.. He is micro chipped and neutered. We just want him home. The link above is to pictures on Facebook. Thank you
  11. Just wondered if anyone had bought one of these new houses. I saw one I quite liked and will go and see it again tomorrow. Are Keepmoat a good company? Has anyone had any problems with them?
