  1. You could start pitching stones at them, a couple of well placed hits and they will lose interest.
  2. Even that does not mean that you'll get a skilled tradesman. I had 1 of my rooms plastered, by a plasterer who claimed to have 20 years experiance, he was the middle quote. The job was so badly done, the walls were not prepared properly and sealed properly that the plaster started to bubble and fall of the walls and ceiling. The solutions offered to this problem were not acceptable, he wanted to chip off the bits that were bubbleing and reskim the ceiling again at my cost. In the end i ended up getting another plasterer in and had the entire room taken back to brick and redone from scratch. I was slightly stupid in not getting an invoice with his name and address on it. If i had i would have been straight on to Trading Standards and then the Small calims court.
  3. Jesus, people are paying a lot for virgin media, i've down graded my package recently but a couple of months ago i had the 20mb internet, top tv package, top phone package, the V+ box in the lounge and another box in the bedroom and was paying just £55 a month for it all.
  4. Maybe we should suggest that they move it to woodseats near Mr Goose's house, if they did i bet he'd be less sarcastic when it came to complaining about it. We might not be the most affluent area of the city, and i'm all for schemes like this, but it shoudl not be anywhere near a residential area. If they want to build it whats wrong with building it on the disused land next to the old steelworks at the business park? Why is it this side of the city apparently needs two of these schemes, one on holywell Road and the other at the Cooling towers next to Meadowhall?
  5. OMG i'm soooo angry, i've only found out about this from this thread. I live at the bottom of Limpsfield road right opposite coe-crete this is sooo going to affect me. If not my health its certainly gonna affect my house's value. Thank god the deadline for objections has been extended.
  6. You could try one of the driving experiance gifts in WH Smiths and the back of lads mags, some of them drive people around a race track in a super car and others let you drive the car. For my 30th my family brought me a driving package 4 laps of a race track in a Lamborgini Murcellargo with me as the driver, i think it cost about £200 at the time. Though this was 3 years ago.
  7. I Worked in HMV for a while and used to ask lots of people to prove that they were over 18 to buy an 18 Rated dvd. Why you ask? Because if i got it wrong and was caught i stood to get a £6000 fine and upto a 6 month prison sentance. So form my point of view i ask anyone where i was not sure cause i did not have a spare 6k, i suspect its the same. I had people like you that would moan about it and refuse to show me id. Guess what the store manager backed me up and they left with out the items they wanted. More so when you get the idots being abusive becasue you have dared to ask to see id. The shop is entitled to have there policy and are totally correct for enforcing it, my wifes friend was in asda recently and asked for id, she didn't spit her dummy out and stamp her feet. With everything else thats going on in the world, you choose to moan about having to prove how old you are. GROW UP!
  8. Yep i agree with you, if they want to do it they will find a way. Far better its away from the general public. At least that way the morons involved will only end up killing each other. Since there so desperate to get a each other, why don't we start a new reality Fighting series similar to the UFC. But for football hooligans, it can be a fight to the death, i can see some liberal people having a problem with this idea, but please think a bout the service to society this would provide. A form of entertainment better then jerremy Kyle and his bager bating, and we would slowly be ridding the world of these people and removing the possibility that they may procreate.
  9. THe Elite one actually has a 120gb hd and has HDMI output. the core, and premium don't have hdmi. I'm not sure if the Arcade version does or not. Those are basically the only differences. You will either need to have a Hard drive or a memory card to be able to save your progess in a game. IF you want to down load movies when the service becomes advailable in the uk your best getting the elite. Hope that Helps from a Games Industry Employee.
  10. An independant withness carries a lot of weight, because they are independent from you as a person and the situation. To wriggle out of this he would need to provide an independent witness himself that blames you, most insurance or law firms will check to make sure that they are independent. well i certainly did. To be honest i thinnk you will be fine, its clearly not your fault, from what you have said, you have a witness who also says its not your fault. So to be honest i can't see there being that much of a problem. I suspect he will blame you and dispute liability, but most insurance companies tell you to do that because they don't want to be seen to pay out too quickly.
  11. Yep, you just need a registration number and you can find out who he is insured with, or more to the point your insurance company can. If his not insured you might be able to make a claim against the Motor Insurance Bureau, they have a slush fund that every car insurer has to pay into for things like this, but i can't remember what criteria you have to meet. However i'm sure your insurance company will know.
  12. I used to work for a law firm dealing with peoples insurance claims for car accidents, and used to see this type of thing alot. If you were on the roundabout he should have given way to any traffic coming from the right, no matter wether he thinks there is a big enough gap. Now this guy has go it into his head that he is in the right because you hit him, and he is partially correct. If you were traveling in a convoy and he braked and you went into him then its your fault, i know this has not happened but i suspect that this is where he thinks its your fault. Roundabouts are a bit of a grey area, and i suspect that he will be telling his insurance company that he was already on the roundabout and you came round the roundabout too fast and hit him. You will of course tell your insurance company that you were on the roundabout and he pulled out infront of you. The insurance companies now have to decide who was actually at fault, in some cases this accidents are settled on a 50/50 basis, where neither party will accept that it is there fault, or that proof of fault can not be determind. If you have witnesses get there details to your insurance company, you will need to draw the scene and place where the vehicles were at the time of the accident, its also a good i dea to draw their position before the accident. It would be a good idea to provide your insurance company with photos of the area, showing the road markings and lane etc. I know its time consuming but i found that the people who provided this information to me when i was looking after this sort of thing stood are far greater chance of being proved blameless for the accident. The sooner you get that information to your insuracne company the better. I Hope that is of some help to you.
  13. Nah this isn't like iraq, no ones been killed in a friendly firework incident by a firwork crazed american. People are setting fireworks of in brightside at about 4:00pm until it starts to get dark, then they stop, i thought the whole point of them was to see what happens when they go off. Its gonna be kids doing it because they think its big and clever, they'll soon stop when they get hurt.
  14. They were being sold on launch day on ebay for up to £500 a time. I could not believe people would pay that much for one. My wife was slightly annoyed that i would not let her sell mine.
