  1. I rarely play CoD, Fifa, etc, and generally can be found playing games such as Warframe, Elder Scrolls Online, and a plethora of indie games (from Resogun, to Rocket League, and more recently Helldivers and Dead Star).
  2. Some good classics in there that almost made my list. Now, in no particular order... Donkey Kong (Arcade) Wizball (Atari ST version) Everyone's A Wally (ZX Spectrum) R-Type (Arcade) Strider (Arcade) Paperboy (Arcade....with handlebar controller) Gauntlet (Arcade or Atari ST/Amiga conversions) Outrun (Arcade) Elite (various - each version works just as well as the other, although the Atari/Amiga versions had textured polygons, so are better visually) Joust (Arcade) (edited to put Joust instead of Sonic 2)
  3. Is your preference for the one which originated in the Balkans, or the recipe which came across from Norway with sailors who ate 'lapskaus'? You are aware that the dish didn't originate in Liverpool, but rather the good folk of my home city were given the nickname due to the sailors bringing the dish to the area?
  4. Although the Centertainment parking is a nightmare at times, but I guess some free parking is better than none. Would be great if they could get more land for more spaces - on our busy weekends it gets full by around 1pm.
  5. Well Cineworld in Sheffield alone had 1.8 million admits last year if that gives any idea of how popular cinema is these days. ---------- Post added 20-06-2014 at 14:47 ---------- They seem to be under the impression that the current cinemas are struggling. Nice to know that as one of the top five busiest cinemas in the UK, Cineworld Sheffield is struggling Plenty of room in the Sheffield market for some healthy competition.
  6. We received our letters on Friday explaining the impact for the local area. I guess the whole road is closed to stop traffic from trying to make it down to the race area, and is accounting for the footfall of people who will be in the area too.
  7. The neighbouring roads (Broughton lane and Attercliffe Common) will be closed from 6pm Saturday night until the early hours of Monday morning according to a letter we received from the council. This obviously means no access to the park via road over that period. The trams should be back in service by then. With it being one of the busiest expected weekends of the summer for us (Transformers 4 is out on Saturday 5th, and How To Train Your Dragon 2 has previews Friday to Sunday), we will be extremely unhappy if forced to close, as the loss to business will be quite high. At this point in time we don't know what we will be doing - obviously if staff cannot got to work, then we will be forced to close. ---------- Post added 16-06-2014 at 20:37 ---------- Broughton Lane will be closed past the Arena parking overflow, right down to the Attercliffe Commone intersection - so, that means no access to the car park at Centertainment either.
  8. If you book online, or use the ticket machines in the foyer, you can pick your seats from a map. As with booking seats at other events the system will not let you leave individual empty seats. If you opt to go to a cashier, you will be asked if you want front, middle or back, and the cashier will select the best seats based on your preference.
  9. You'll find Vue also do allocated seating on all shows these days.
  10. Considered and rolled out. We start allocated seating on all shows from today.
  11. To be fair on head office, they are probably swamped with emails and communications at present (due to the rollout of allocated seating). Glad to have been of help.
  12. They are the supervisors. The managers are the ones with suits on. We're a friendly bunch too
  13. My favourites at present are:- Alhambra (got the 'Big Box' edition, so enjoying trying out combinations of rules variations) Catan Castle Panic & Dead Panic Munchkin Ticket to Ride (mainly play Europe edition, but partial to any of the maps and rules variations) Smash Up Forbidden Desert (much prefer it over Island) Arkham Horror Betrayal at the House on the Hill
  14. The next guy in the queue probably looked more like this http://www.glamour.com/images/entertainment/2013/04/theo-shocked-look-w352.jpg
