Apart from rot and not going round corners very well
engine and gearbox are normaly good if they have
been maintained.camshaft or worn cam followers are
not a big job to do.and a good rev to about 3000 rpm
when warm will let you know if the crank is ok.
On a test drive listen for whining from the back end
when lifting on and off the gas, sighn that the diff is
worn.
