  1. Help! Does anyone know who stocks the "Salon Selectives" range of hair products in Sheffield? It's an old brand that used to be available all over till the mid nineties and it's just been launched again this year. I've found one shop but they've sold out straightaway so if anyone's seen it anywhere I'd be really grateful. Cheers!
  2. Hiya, this is just the question I wanted to post but I thought I'd do a quick search to see if anyone else had enquired. I see there was no replies - shame. If there is anyone out there who knows of any good soul nights I'd be very interested. I'm more interested in 80's soul/funk rather than latter day RnB stuff. I'm not holding out much hope but you never know! All the best!
  3. I do, I didn't think of there so I'll give them a try, thanks again Jules.
  4. Thanks Jules, I meant to mention Ikea in the OP. They've just discontinued that size - typical! But thanks for taking the time to reply, really appreciate it.
  5. Hi, Does anyone know of a store that sells aluminium venetian blinds 200cm wide (without going to a made-to-measure retailer)?. Most places like B&Q, Dunelm Mill and Homebase only do them to 180cm wide. Sorry for the boring housey question but if anyone can advise I'd be very grateful, Thank you.
  6. Hi, TM Travel operate the 285 and it leaves Arundel Gate at 5:15 and this is the only one I'm afraid. The other service is the 43 operated by Stagecoach that leaves at the same stand (AG9) which departs at 19:07 and gets to Dronfield Woodhouse at 19:33. Hope this helps? PS. Stand AG9 is across the road from TJ Hughes.
  7. I've just this morning managed to track down Glen Holman, so any help regarding Keving would be a bonus. Thanks again.
  8. Hello, I'm trying to contact a couple of people who worked at Brown Bayleys/Hadfields Steels in Sheffield in the 70's/early 80's, namely Glen Holman or Kevin Fearn (although I believe Kevin moved to Stockton many years ago?). If anyone can help or point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful. Cheers, Kirst
  9. Mother and (I think) the daughter have been running this scam for months down the bottom of the Moor near the DWP building, they seem to work their way from London Road, around Moorfoot, then up the Moor, surely no-one's daft enough to give them money if they get told the SAME story EVERY evening?
  10. The chap we use is David Brown: Browns Autocare 875 Sheffield Road Sheepbridge Chesterfield Derbyshire S41 9EQ 01246-453303 http://www.brownsautocare.co.uk/ He's an ex-Harratt's mechanic and we always found him to be fair, honest and thorough with the S40 and S60 we've had. I'd recommend him to anyone.
  11. OOps, amendment... just checked the Asda website myself, they're Degradable not Bio-degradable. They do them in 10's and 20's but couldn't see sizes.
  12. Hi, I'm sure I noticed that Asda were selling them when I was browsing their on-line shopping website. If you've never been on the site before, paste this in your browser http://www.asda.com/asda_shop/sys/web_sys01_b_initialise.jsp and use the 'Take a look' button in the bottom left hand corner. You can then browse the aisles without registering. There should be a search field where you can type in 'bio-degradable' or 'bin liners'. I was quite interested too, about time these were available! Happy hunting.
  13. Hi Peter, You may have found somewhere but we use Nigel at: Park Garage Derwent St. Sheffield S2 5BN 0114-2729095 We used him for years and know him to be honest and trustworthy and charges a reasonable and fair price for any work we've had done over the years. Our family and friends use him too. It's also handy to drop the car off there in the morning and nip on the tram a couple of stops into town and pick the car up later, very convenient for anyone working in town.
  14. If you own the pub and the garage, I would have thought there would be something in the deads or other legal documents, that would mention any access rights that you have. Might be worth checking to see if you can find anything. If not, I consult a solicitor to see where you stand. If you do have rights they might overide the council's restrictions. Traffic wardens don't know if you have any access rights but I'd check before arguing with them.
