  1. they have become more mardy, they didn't empty my full paper bin last week because some inconsiderate person had put an empty milk bottle on top!!.... loads of bins are left un emptied here because of the same reasons, bags are strewn everywhere because people have no room everyone's just sick of it all, despite recycling and using the compost bin fortnightly collections just aren't working:( !!....plus I've no sympathy with bin staff as I find them very rude.
  2. I'm sure you do, shame you don't do a proper job like you used to do for the money you get paid.
  3. I dont actually care what you think , anyway it's now all ashes, !
  4. they have become more mardy, they didn't empty my full paper bin last week because some ****hole had put an empty milk bottle on top!!.... loads of bins are left un emptied here because of the same reasons, bags are strewn everywhere because people have no room just sick of it all and could rant on and on in language not allowed on here , but it's pathetic it really is, despite recycling and using the compost bin fortnightly collections just aren't working:( !!....plus I've no sympathy with bin staff as they laughed at me and kept driving off afew months ago when I'd been late putting my bin out and followed them down the street , slipping over as I ran, if they are sacked to save money I'll have a good laugh them they are lazy and overpaid for a start , sack afew and get our weekly collection back!!!
  5. Does anyone know what the latest collection time is please and if they collect on Saturdays? They have failed to do today's collection on my estate so far! I hope this isn't going to be a regular occurence under this new, already fouled up, system!, hundreds of full to bursting bins stuck in the middle of the street all weekend!
  6. You need to be claiming higher rate DLA, not sure about AA, to be eligible for +C (companion)on your bus pass. Just to clarify the C does not have to be the carer who claims any carers allowance, it is anyone who is accompanying the person with a disability
  7. These are running a 6 week course in November. http://www.wicat.org.uk/
  8. I did it here, Level 4 in two weeks, free:) http://www.northern.ac.uk/doc/courses/pgce/FAQ%20PTLLS.pdf
  9. It's made the BBC news....how very sad! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-south-yorkshire-16592082
  10. No point questioning them or telling them anything, you get as far as 2 or three words and they hang up! There is no number or name to refer to or report to anyone! Then on your answerphone there is an automated "questionnaire" which it says you can press a number to cancel, but this is a lie, you just have to hang up...until they call the next day! and the day after that...and after that....and after..... There seems nothing TPS can do about calls from abroad or most marketing firms. It ought to be a criminal offence to bother and harrass people like this. This is the one and only spate of calls I have ever had. I honestly thought my TPS registration was stopping them! It's making me really angry! I can feel my own spate of furious letter writing to my MP and whoever else might be able help stop this! Are there any campaign groups about this which we can join?
  11. Not sure if this is still running, but it might be helpful, if you can get a referral in your area, http://www.sheffield.nhs.uk/services/watchit.php
  12. The OP has a Family and Friends railcard, so will get a discount on a Day Travelcard.
  13. I would check all the sites as prices can vary hourly! I never pay more than £20 single return to London whether it's East Midlands or Trainline and it's usually £10 with Megatrain or National Express trains (though both tend to run later so no good for appointments) and I go on average once a month. It was £30 open return with reservations and choice of seat for me and the little one via Trainline with railcard. Hope you get a bargain and have a good trip. Another tip, try and book any expensive attractions in advance, massive discounts and you may not have to queue:)
  14. As others have said, take a train, try trainline.com for cheap tickets if megatrain aren't early enough. Use Transport for London TFL route planner to tell you which tubes to get from St Pancras. Just type in where you want to go Buckingham Palace etc and it will guide you step by step. Your Family and Friends railcard will give you a good discount on the train down plus use it when you buy your day ticket for the tube. This is much cheaper and better option than an Oyster cards for a day trip with a child with a railcard.A daytripper type card works out cheaper than buying individual tickets even though the child travels free. You buy your ticket at the window at St Pancras tube, it's well signed and there are plenty of staff to ask. If you tell them where you are visiting they will sell you the correct card for the day. It all seems easy for me now as I travel to London often so I know where I'm going unless there are any line changes!, lol, but I remember what it was like the first time! I took my little boy for his first trip, for a weekend last autumn and everything went smoothly. Hope you have a good time.
