  1. Give it a week if it lasts that long and it will be. SR
  2. And how do drivers get out of the way when the cycle lane is taking up most of the road where do they pull over too? It's gridlock, yet another ill thought out disaster from a local council. This bodge job of a cycle lane will hardly be used, it will get full of stones, glass ect like the rest, who wants a puncture on the way to work. If you want to promote cycling on this stretch why not scrap the existing small cycle lane and reduce the speed limit to 20mph which would make road cycling safer and keep traffic flowing. SR
  3. I used Peak Imaging, its in a unit near to Crystal Peaks. They can tweak the settings for older film, I took several 127 and 35mm film rolls to them a couple of years back and the results were very good. One B&W 127 roll I took to them was 50 years old and although it was very degraded they managed to develop it.
  4. My Dad Keith Rennison worked there for many a year until its closure in the early 1980's. Dad fondly remembered working there and the friends he made over the years. Sadly Keith passed away on the 14 June 2016 after suffering declining health over the last two years. He still had loads of old pen knives and scissors that he kept as a permanent reminder of Richards of Sheffield, some unused! Happy times if now long ago. SimonR
  5. Just uploaded this http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=vB6UG_fXfLY Regards SR
  6. Didnt some of the houses on the oposite side of the road on Totley Hall Croft have this problem. I heard the builders paid for the homeowners to go on a 2 week luxury holiday while the pipework was ripped out and replaced.
  7. Threre are 2 cameras at this junction, both painted yellow which would indicate speedcamera! hopefully if it says testing you wont get a ticket. Also im sure this junction is 30mph as there are 30mph signs about 10m before one of the cameras, thats got to catch a few out.
  8. I drove past yesterday around 11.30am and there were around half a dozen cop cars parked on the fourcort. they were not waiting for a wash and go!
  9. My Dad worked there a number of years (10+) untill just before its first closure around May / June 05. It did reopen in July 05 I think, lasted for about 9 months in the same building, but operating using a different company name. My Dad went back part time to help set the machines up, the machines were that old and had there little querks that only he knew how to do it. In the end they only churned out cuttlery that was cheap junk, and the chineese do that better.
  10. Im on Sandstone on Wincobank Hill and can see into the stadium, iI have just been sat on our back step and its very loud.
  11. Went past around 5:40pm there was a white transit van with blacked out windows parked on the kerb just up from the entrance to the Esso Station, inside was someone operating a camera that was reading number plates. When a dodgey plate gets picked up the cops are given the nod to pull them further up Prince.
  12. There is or was a "Mucky Ann" written on the doors of the Loyds TSB Firth Park branch!
  13. heavy snow falling on Wincobank Hill, very large flakes!
  14. I Agree with "oasismark" they are measuring the speed of trafic. :suspect: a while back I was travelling down Carlisle Street East and Spotted a Van in the distance with a great big speed camera sign on the back, as I passed a bloke was out the van checking some box at the side of the road which was connected to these rubber cables going across the road.
