If there weren't any injuries or any damage to anything other than the vehicle involved then it won't be recorded as an RTC by the Police, unless there was some allegation of bad driving by any of the witnesses.

It wasn't a chase, the car lost control and collided with the wall. Occupants were ok.

I think spec camera's are a good idea, it keeps motorists to a consistent speed rather than braking for a gatso and then speeding up afterwards. Out of interest, I put together a list of Fatal road traffic collisions from 2005 There are 2 on the A61 I am not sure about, I know one of them was definitely a delivery driver who didn't negotiate the bend at Woodseats but I can't remember which date it was. I am looking for the man I believe may be my Father. He is called John Cooney and worked as a Occupation Health Nurse at Edgar Allen's Steel Foundry in 1975. Is there anyone who worked there who remembers him to shed some light on his age, where he was from etc. I am struggling to find him and I desperately want to find him. Thank you Melissa
