  1. Magpies are corvids, so no problems killing them, a decent air rifle will do the job. No licence or permission required, if they're on your land, they're yours to shoot.
  2. Just roast it with plenty of salt, add parsley, capers and shallots on the plate, bosh, you're in St John.
  3. You'll have to be annoyed even more now Nagel, Cider and Perry are different and 'pear Cider' is a distinct drink, different to 'perry' It's all in the technique, and what pears you use, but broadly speaking Pear Cider is made with sweeter dessert pears, and perry with smaller tarter perry pears. As you were.....
  4. It depends how high your standards are. Bowyers is basic, and if you need basic stuff, ie bog standard British beef, lamb and pork you'll be fine, nothing is particularly high quality, but it's cheap. Ian Quince in Ranmoor is much better for beef and lamb, and veal on occasion, he's a very good butcher and a nice man, I regularly buy beef and lamb joints from him. But his chicken is intensively reared, and the pork isn't that good. S10 butchers in Broomhill is no where near as good as it looks, cheap meat dressed up a bit, at a high price. There's no where in the area I would buy pork or chicken from, you'll need to go a bit further afield to get decent free range meat, Chris Beech in Walkley is the place for that.
  5. My last one was the 3 litre V6, lots of fun
  6. I needed something bigger and 4 wheel drive. The last 9000 I had was one of the nicest cars I've ever had though, I loved it!
  7. East Coast Road Motors, 2443440 Haven't used them for years, but when I drove Saabs they were they only people I trusted.
  8. I'm more worried that they spelt Kelly wrong, she's a lovely lass that Kelly Brook, I didn't know she'd taken up boxing.
  9. Yeah, had them in a Pakistani restaurant in York a few times. Also had veal brains in a trendy place in Israel, they were served cold which wasn't quite what I was expecting! Both very good, creamy, usual offaly taste, think sweetbreads, but softer. I'd order them again tonight.........
  10. I'd avoid the sweetened brioche found in the supermarkets, what you want are unsweetened brioche, that's what works with a burger. Brioche is just a different dough type with more butter and egg than normal bread dough, but most available commercially is the 'breakfast' type, with loads of sugar too.
  11. One thing about the first car you mention, with no history or old MOTs, you have to ignore the mileage, and assume it's a lot higher than stated. And with the second, if the seller hasn't mentioned the obvious faults, then what else has he found and not mentioned? I'd not bother with either of them.
