  1. The Dove & Rainbow is an excellent choice but sometimes the huge demand for songs to be played could mean you have a long wait on your hands, especially during busy weekends. My advice is to get in there early. As for the extended 2/3am license, as the landlord has stated, there is no garantee as yet, that these are going to be the official closing times. Depending on the number of customers in the pub at the time, he could quite rightly close much earlier. At least with a Club you are garenteed a 2:30/3am finish time.
  2. Went a few weeks ago to the Friday Rock Night at the Casbah. It was a good night out, even if a tad expensive. Planning on going tonight if it's still on.
  3. Only decent boozer i know of on West street is Redhouse.. Which have some good bands on tonight. Pity i can't make it tonight, though will be out tomorrow.
  4. Eh, This is England 2007 mate. Your Guilty until prooven Innocent these days :hihi:
  5. Yes it is. Apparently he was being mugged for his money. Never knew Pizza Dudes carried that much worth stealing to be honest. Apparently there saying that two men were involved in the Shooting/Mugging of the Pizza Dude in Heeley.
  6. Yeah, i'm going on what his girlfriend told me. But i'm sure within the next few days more info will be released in the press about it, for us to get a more accurate picture of what actually went off. Needless to say, it came a quite a big suprise. As i thought he would have been the last person to do anything like that.
  7. What happened was a man shot someone in the leg and has now been arrested for attempted murder. I know cause he lives just across the road from me and i know him personally. Only just found about it myself today.
  8. So whats your opinion then.....Did you enjoy the gig ?
  9. Read in the paper not so long ago that they were planning to knock the place down & build someting else in it's place. I don't think it's safe enough in it's current condition to hold any event's, and would cost way too much to bring up to safe standards.
  10. Yeah they are a Tribute Band. www.ozzmosis.co.uk/ Saw them not long back and i thought they were pretty good. There seems to be alot of quality tribute bands on the music circuit these days, which are also well worth seeing.
  11. Do what most other people do these days and use the local supermarket carparks in the dead of night
  12. I think Banks are getting more idle and skingy everyday. I found the worst ones were HSBC & Natwest when it comes to paying your bills over the counter. Waited 25 minutes in a cue once at HSBC only to be told that i could'nt pay my bill in, cause i did'nt have an account with them....even though the bill was going into one of their accounts So had to go across town to my own bank to pay it in there instead, so that it could get transfered back over to HSBC.
  13. It's pretty obvious that Gadaffi knows their innocent and now it's come to light that he may be prepared to trade their lives over for the Mass Murderer of the Lockerbie bombing....how predictable. The words of 'a leopard never changes its spots' comes to mind. If they do execute these prisoners they need to be tought a few lessons, re-establish sanctions on them & send a couple of Xmas Prezzies (cruise missiles) their way.
  14. or roll it up and create the biggest spliff for the guinness book of records
  15. Its the punters it attracts rather than the state of the Pub itself. Pointless redecorating if your going to still get in the same old dodgey customers as before. Never been in myself as it looks way too risky.
