  1. The live feed is fantastic. It would be great if it could be displayed somewhere in the town centre on a big screen. Perhaps Barkers Pool or the Peace Gardens?
  2. Excellent news, Stanleybobs! We had a similar incident several years ago when our daughter lost her toy rabbit. There was no consoling her, until two days later when one of the neighbours found it stuffed in her hedge! lol
  3. That was my point exactly, Penistone999... unfortunately I don't posses your level of eloquence.
  4. I think you may be on to something there. ---------- Post added 05-05-2013 at 13:09 ---------- Good post. You have hit the nail on the head there, monkey104.
  5. Yes, you are right, Snowbird... Looks quite good! Here is the link:- http://www.welcometosheffield.co.uk/dms-connect/search?dms=13&c1=front&feature=1001&venue=2163997
  6. It is quite busy, but still a nice area of Sheffield to live in.
  7. He did, and he did well. Some members of society find such scenarios to be intimidating, and would struggle to give the same response as our OP. Some people buckle to such pressures out of sympathy or fear, perhaps?
  8. I had one car in the 90's, I still have one car. The only think that has changed, is that my car has lower emissions than the one I had back then... Oh, and I can't drive it on as many streets in Sheffield as I could back in the day.
  9. It's a bad scene. You are obviously strong enough to deal with such a situation, SNES, and did so quite admirably. Not everyone is equipped with the strength, either physical - or of character, to handle such an assault. These beggars need to be apprehended before the begging leads to something much more serious.
  10. It would be better if cars could move around more freely in the city centre (like they could in the 80/90s.) There wouldn't be half as much traffic sat around wasting fuel and polluting our oxygen, town may even become as popular as Meadowhall! That would be a happy little result wouldn't it?
  11. That's what I thought, but I haven't been over that way for quite some time. Has it been built/started to be built, or is someone doing a bit of leg pulling?
  12. We specialise in refurbishing period and used furniture. Check out our work here
  13. Yes this is true jane2008, but I know they are upset about losing the garden as they are both keen gardeners. It's such a shame that people have to go to such lengths to protect their hard earned property from scum.
  14. Not so much car theft, but friends of ours that live in Woodhouse have had their car broken into several times this year, as have some of their neighbours. To try and protect their vehicle from further attack, our friends have recently had the curb dropped outside their house and built a gated drive, losing their front garden in the process.
