i remember alan dale dj he used to do the disco in the olive grove (off east bank rd ) monday & thursday nights in the late 1960s and it was always packed . does any others remember the olive grove disco nights in the 60s ? ...

i was having problems yesterday trying to burn to c/d then i realised on the burn tab it wasn't ticked for audio it was on dvd , so after ruining 2 discs it was 3rd time lucky so could it be something simple like that ? .

ye the disco nights were monday and thursday nights , it was ALAN DALE the DJ i remember it well even though i wernt sober very often haha , i also remember tony the organ player we had some great nights in the olive grove went in there lots in the 1960s and yes george and jenny landlord and landlady were very nice couple made everyone so welcome , i would say the olive was built about 1960 .

i also have dual core pc with 2gb memory with vista , and not sluggish at all , so i wonder is vista the problem ? .

i got an alert a few weeks ago of a trojan , i removed this with the avg free version , i have done regular scans since and thankfully all has been clear since .

i was also looking for a new printer a couple of months ago as my canon printer was worn out , my friend recommended a epson printer so i took the advice and bought a epson dx8400 all in one copy/scanner/printer the ink if you look around is reasonable price as well , also the model i got has a small built in screen and memory card slots , priced at around £50 at comet , i am well satisfied with mine .

i remember ropers i used to go there quite a lot for my reliant 3 wheeler parts , a good selection and great service and also fair prices , i remember when it was closing down lots of parts etc at half price and less , i got well stocked up with parts , i think it was 1983/84 ish when they closed down a bit sad really .

i have been using vista on my new computer 2gb ram dual core processor for the past few months and up to now well satisfied and i like it better than xp .
