  1. Mod note, For job adverts and quotes please advertise in the classifieds under "Jobs" This section is not for advertising Thanks
  2. As far as I'm aware, there is no "centre" as such - unless you count McDonalds and the Catholic cathedral as "centres"... Can you say what specifically you are looking for help on?
  3. Changes and Disruptions Information posted: 16/12/10 @ 14:00 Buses: First Services in Stocksbridge are operating via Worrall as normal then to Unsliven Bridge via Manchester Road only. Delays on Commercial Street in Sheffield due to a bus being on Fire, Emergency Services en route, road expected to close in due course.
  4. We're in S35 and pick up from Belmont. Better than yesterday, but no Dave or Sky channels, and BBC's unstable.
  5. Just the one? Their admission standards must be dropping...
  6. The new 66, 77 and 78 timetables are now out: http://www.travelsouthyorkshire.com/timetables/sheffield/662.htm http://www.travelsouthyorkshire.com/timetables/sheffield/245.htm Also 17 at: http://www.travelsouthyorkshire.com/timetables/sheffield/532.htm
  7. Finally got a £400 cheque through the post yesterday, so it's taken over 2 months for the payment to come through. I could have sworn that I gave them my bank details, though, so that they could have paid it directly into my account...
  8. "New Labour" is dead. And there are few "dinosaurs" left in the party (certainly far fewer than in the Tory party). This is a great opportunity for the Labour party to resurrect itself while the Tories and Lib Dems grapple with the country's and their own problems, internal and co-relational. Unfortunately, I don't see any potential leaders within the Labour party who are capable of taking it by the scruff of the neck and giving it a good slap in the face. No matter what you think of Blair and Brown, they were politicians with force and gravitas, who could effect change within their party. The likes of Milliband, Johnson, Balls are pale shadows, and will have no power to control and unify the party, and will have little appeal to the country at large. The voters have decreed that we must live in interesting times...
  9. To add to this, I've just rung them. Apparently the "processing" was completed on 14th April, and then passed over to the payments section... And, once it's in their hands, you should expect another 21 working days before receiving the money... Patience... Patience...
  10. I was just going to post to recommend Chris, but he's done it himself He fixed a leaky pipe for us last year, no fuss, no nonsense, no sharp intakes of breath.
  11. Done last year for Parson Cross... http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=520848&highlight=earthquake+dore
  12. I got a voucher code and they e-mailed me on 24th March saying that "processing" would begin some time in the next 25 working days, so I'm assuming it'll take at least 5 real weeks. It's a long wait...
  13. If you want a reliable, no nonsense, professional installer, I'd recommend Failsafe. This is from personal experience, having dealt with them for the past 9 years. Their website may not be up to much, but their service is top notch.
  14. From what I've read, Rupert Murdoch is a long way from being a fan of Cameron, regarding him as "too slick" (or some other word beginning with "s"...). He was persuaded by his son and Rebekah Brooks (is that her name now?) to support the Tories... which he has done... reluctantly. See, for example:
