  1. He's been available at least twice since then and we havent looked at getting him in so we couldnt have wanted him that badly lol
  2. soil tests showed that the land was unsuitable for growing food and so the allotment department shelved plans for a community garden on this site. Have things changed in the 2 or so years since the soil test was carried out? Just interested to know
  3. Unfortunately my trainer moved back to China about 3yrs ago so I dont train anymore
  4. ok.. this entire topic is laughable.. but I'll give you a scenario thats totally true and goes to prove that we live in a ME,ME,MINE society here.. a few years ago citizen 1 was out of work and so he decided to do something in his community to fill his time and do something constructive, so he joined a society and began working hard in the interests of said group, made in roads improving things, had meetings with councillors and generally enjoyed what he was doing whilst searching for paid work.. after a few months paid work was found and so citizen 1 didnt have the time any longer to participate in society's activities as he once did. Was this change of circumstance understood by the society members? no.. instead of being understanding the society began throwing around wild accusations, sent the police to citizen1's house saying he's left town with their cash etc.. when actually what citizen1 was doing was working to support his family whilst still trying to carry out his agreed role for the society.. no assistance was offered.. none was given.. citizen 1 no longer works for any society and has vowed never to do community/charitable work again Carry on knocking the will out of people like this and soon the topic will be true.. no one will care.
  5. For me its Wing Chun, a form of Kung Fu.. it increases fitness, encourages discipline and teaches you how to defend yourself. In my opinion though it all depends on the instructor and where he focuses his classes.. I have tried Karate, Kung Fu and a few other arts, but I have to say Wing Chun was the one I felt did most for me. Some may disagree with me, but thats life As an extra bit of advice.. there's a company canvassing Sheffield atm offering classes.. done a bit of research and I honestly wouldnt touch them.. I would personally try to find an instructor who has trained people for awhile in the ame venue if possible, and who has an established class.. in recent years there have been a lot of charlatans claiming to teach martial arts but really know very little about what they're doing so be careful.
  6. Nope... its not intelligent.. it failed its 11 plus... I have heard rumours of a secret society who know which car you drive and what time you really need to be somewhere on time, and arrange for the lights to strangely stick on red in unexplained fashion when its cylcopic eye rests on your reg plate... no seriously.. its true!
  7. Are up 48% on last term.... not been posted here yet so.. UTO http://swfc.in/Kxpijj and Ozzie Owl also won an award http://swfc.in/KkFcJj
  8. Is there anywhere in Sheffield that regularly has Hobgoblin on draught?? Love the drink but rarely, if ever seen it on the pump.
  9. Hi all Unfortunately the plot of land you are speaking of had been intended for use as allotments for families at risk of obesity, but was found to have soil not suitable to allotment gardening due to a high iron content. Therefore any plans for the use of the site were shelved. This was discussed repeatedly at Allotment Advisory Group and SALGF meetings throughout 09, 10 and 2011 if anyone would like more information, these groups are the best to approach.
