  1. Thanks, this will help ---------- Post added 22-04-2016 at 18:25 ---------- thanks for the tip. it's a harsh reality, the one you mentioned. But great.
  2. Hi there, Does anyone have any idea how I can go about asking Sheffield Council to put zebra crossing on my road, which is used by buses, and cars all the time (quite a busy rd). I live in a residential area of S6, which doesn't have any traffic lights or zebra crossing. Is it event possible/allowed to make such proposal to the council? thanks
  3. There ought to be cctv cameras near zebra crossing. If the council can place cameras on bus lanes to make money out of drives, surely they can do the same to possibly save lives or prevent bad drivers from injuring pedestrians.
  4. Hi there, I recently bought a house and the previous owner didn't modernise it at all. The house still looks like a standard looking 80's. I have got a small budgeta toddler and work 12h shift, so my time/money to get inspired to modernise the house is little. So just wondering if there are or is any "good Samaritan" with good interior design skills willing to help me. Many thanks in advance.
  5. I just recently bought a house myself (Sept 2015). The process of looking, and finding what you like, where you like for the price you like it's very hard. There will be alot to compromise. So, my advice to you is: 1. Be realistic about where in Sheffield you can afford to live 2. Get a good financial advisor 3. Start looking during Winter, because normally the houses (2nd hand ones) when they are on the market in Summer they won't show issues such as dump. 4. Make sure you have a good deposit, and if you do, then you will be able to choose a better area for you to live in. 5. Get a decent solicitors. 6. Good luck, and don't rush it. unless you are in a rush
  6. My Mrs likes to have our place like she's in the Algarve or Dubai (F**** sauna room). we live in a two bed flat and currently paying £960/yr (50 elect + 30 gas). Crazy I know...
  7. Hi there, I am first time buyer and I want to get a homebuyer's surveyor's report. Have you ever used one and how much did it cost you? was it useful or not? And finally which surveyor would you recommend? Thanks in advance
  8. Hi all, I am moving house soon, and I am considering a different broadband provider from Sky. Would you recommend PlusNet Fibre broadband and their service overall? Or would you stick with SKy fibre instead? thanks in advance
  9. OMG... thanks for the tip. ---------- Post added 21-05-2015 at 13:36 ---------- OMG... thanks for the tip.
