  1. Hi These 3 companies are the ones recommended by my insurance company to get a scratch repaired on my car. Has anyone used any of these specialists and if so who would you recommend? Had a bad experience with Pentagon in the past so a little reluctant to use them again. Help!!
  2. I'm in there 5.30 - 7.30am at least 4 days a week and its great! Very few people in. Sure you'll find it a far more pleasurable experience at that time than in the evenings.
  3. Hi As a regular gym goer hoping to take on my first 10k this year I am always looking for decent music to stick on my Ipod while running and working out. Can anyone suggest decent tracks with a decent beat that would keep me focused and on track. I tend to end up listening to the same old, same old and would welcome any suggestions. I tend to listen to R&B and dance music, purely for the beat. No heavy metal music suggestions though - it tends to make my ears bleed Thanks!
  4. I don't feel it's my place to comment really out of respect for Lewis's family. Sorry.
  5. It was for Lewis who went missing all those years ago. I know of the family. Sad, sad time for them all xxx
  6. Hi Max Thanks for your kind words. Just a word of warning about buying a leasehold council maisonette though - check the small print regarding the buildings insurance!! We are having to pay for the door to be re-glazed ourselves and then try and claim it back off them! Wonder how long that's going to take??
  7. Hi window man - thanks but your reply came too late. Already sorted. Sorry. Will keep your number though - just in case the buggers come back for another go!!!
  8. Hi I have recently been the victim of a burglary and the scum broke their way in through my half double glazed door. I have actually "bought" the lease on the maisonette from the council and as such they are responsible for the buldings insurance including exterior windows and doors but have asked us if we can get the glass replaced ourselves and bill them directly. Does anyone have the number of a decent glazier who can do the job this week? At the moment we have it boarded up with wood which is obviously not very good, or warm :( Help!! Thanks
  9. Can totally sympathise. Was burgled on Thursday evening and knowing there are cameras/video camera out there with my pics on, including wedding video makes me feel physically sick. I do hope whatever sad weirdo is getting a kick out of this gets fed up soon and you get back what is rightfully yours!
  10. Suppose you didn't see or hear anything then Martss?? Spent all day sweeping up and "decontaminating!".
  11. That's great - thanks so much!! Look forward to hearing from you
  12. Does anyone have a spare manual for a Bush 32" HD LCD TV? As per my previous post we were unfortunate to be the victims of a burglary on Thursday evening/Friday morning and had 2 TVs stolen. One of them we have proof of, the other was a gift and unfortunately we don't have the receipt. The insurance company are happy to accept a manual as proof of ownership but of course where are these thing when you want them? Searched high and low but nowhere to be found. If we can't provide evidence it looks as though we can say goodbye to it and the scum have once again won!!! Please help! Thanks!
  13. My house (downstairs maisonette over looking the green/chestnut trees on Mawfa Ave) was burgled sometime between 4pm Thursday and 11:30am Friday morning this week. Entry was gained by smashing the window on the back door and reaching in to open the window. As usual nothing seen or heard from any of the neighbours. The usual items were taken - electrical goods, TV, laptops, cameras, Xbox and games, DS etc, some jewellery, £200+ cash (for sons forthcoming holiday!!) and even a "Me to You" teddy bear (obviously a gift for the GF or kids of said scum). Police have been and dusted but no distinguishable prints as they wore woolly gloves. The most unusual item is the TV - black Phillips 26" LCD with a white rounded back. This was bought online and I've never seen another like it! Also the back panel is missing. Jewellery includes 2 pieces with sentimental value - a 9ct gold fan-style antique gate bracelet with a gold pig charm attached and a 9ct gold oval engraved locket on a 20" gold flat curb chain which did have photos in of Grandad (RIP) and son. If you are offered or see any of these items please PM me. I will be checking the local Cash Convertors etc but don't hold out much hope. Finally, the guy who came to board up our windows last night said he'd attended over half a dozen of these in the last 2 days in this area so PLEASE PLEASE be extra vigilant - I would hate this to happen to anyone else. Just glad my two beloved house cats didn't get injured or escape - although they were both cowering under the bed when we returned!
  14. Depends on what you call a fortune. How about a Pandora bracelet (or other such like - there are several different types out there). That way members of her family and friends could buy beads and it's a nice keepsake.
