Some of the old ideas worked so well because more of us actually cared back then. Todays squeeze on families isnt helping charities, life was so much simpler many years back!

I hate this system. My children are all grown and almost flown now, but us lads at work always make sure the staff with kids get the six weeks hol, and other term hols, and the rest of us are happy to mooch about with whats left over. I feel so sorry for parents today, not only having this crap fine system watching over them, but also the price of package family holidays during the hol terms. It makes me wonder if there really is a conspiracy theory, designed to just make every body thoroughly peed-off.

E-cigs/E-cigarettes: MegaThread Discussion

As these E-cigs are becoming hugely popular, do non smokers find them as repulsive as regular cigarettes? -
Do you think men go to their GP less than women ?
number27 replied to fairyworld14's topic in General Discussions
I agree, and am exactly the same (apart from the boil issue, slightly embarrassing and probably wish you hadnt mentioned it:hihi:) but the last time I went was about 4 maybe 5 years ago, with a real bad case of the plymouths. I got a proper dressing down off the Dr, as he claimed he had never met me since we moved to the area, but still havent been since. -
Could this be assisted with the introduction of a compulsory DNA database? I wouldn't mind signing up for one, it were to help eliminate innocent men from the perverts in our society.

And so they should. If they are being demonized, it shouldnt matter if they are teachers or road sweepers. Everyone is entitled to fairness, and if the teachers strike, then so be it. We chose to have children because we wanted them, not so they could be a burden when the teachers cant have them

Are Clairvoyants Total Rip Offs? Who Really Believes In This Tosh?

Nice! I now have a mental picture of you in a smoky lounge, with a babycham on the table, a cigarette burning away in a glass ashtray and a rendition of "Take 5" by Dave Brubeck playing sweetly in the foreground....... -

I find your wilful disregard for folk-bands quite entertaining. Will this removal be on Sky1? -

I have a friend who is pixie-sized, but has never told me the results of the 4.30 at Leopardstown. -
Human right to Shelter - UK needs to address the housing crisis.
number27 replied to chem1st's topic in General Discussions
We need planning permission there for 2million homes, so that 400 000 can be built per year, and we should be giving permission for 400 000 new homes per year. The cost of housing would fall dramatically. Small builders could thrive and build a variety of housing. No need for estates of small Barrett boxes. Sounds like very good sense. Would the Government see it like this? What goes through their minds when they see the state of the UK,s housing shortage?
