  1. congrats on your first!! there arenot really any groups on at the moment as school is out! Dont wory about the feeling fatness it will pass, dont start to excercise to soon. ive just had number 4 and im not the shape i should be still a little podgy! Try yoga its a great gentle excercise, and there are posters all over the windows at walkley shops for a local yoga class. There is amother and baby group in the church across from walkley medical centre on greenhow street they are great there. Concord swimming pool was great also you should try that, i went every week with my last two for ages. really freindly and warm they heat the pool a bit for the babies. http://www.netmums.com this site will tell you all the local groups its great.
  2. i have 2 holdalls of 0-6 month clothes, some are new and some are 11 years old but all in good useable condition. boys clothing
  3. 10hrs with numder one, 4hours with number 2, 2hours with number 3 30 minutes with number 4.
  4. i was induced 3 times for various reasons, 1 bleeding during pregnancy, induced 3 weeks early. 2, baby was 17 days overdue i didnot turn up for induction date first time but had to addmit defeat 5 days later, 3, waters broke and nothing happened for 3 days so i was induced incase of infaction. BUT for number 4 i was on the way to get my induction appointment and i had my baby naturally and was in labour for 35 minutes. my advice is do what your heart tells you, If you feel something is up or you want to wait a few more days just tell your midwife. Those sweep things dont work on everyone, not once for me. good luck and trust your instincts.
  5. my husband is a postman and he works very very hard, he carries aprox 12-20kilos a day for you lot and get no thanks, just people complaining that there post/parcels have not come, he's attacked by dogs (yes this does happen), he has to walk miles due to post boxes at the back of houses instead of the front. He takes his work very serious, never opens or takes home mail (sackable offence) he's even nice to all the people who complain about him (post not arrived when they think it should be) All this for the price of a stamp, getting a good deal really arnt you!!! Stop complaining and be nice to the postman who is out in all weather condition, from 6ish in the morning to about 3pm in the afternoon.
  6. Use faith in nature rosemary shampoo, and add one drop of tee tree oil of lavender or both this also smells lovely, in to the blob in your hand to wash childs hair. use as regulay as your ordinary shampoo for about two weeks, then just use occasionally. this is a great way of preventing them comming back. you can purchase both at boots or any health shop, harvest tyme in hillsbourgh is good, have used this on my school age boys, and there freinds and we have a nit free life and have had for years now, boys are still in primary school.
  7. try this link http://www.themothermagazine.co.uk/extraordinarybreastfeeding.html http://www.lalecheleague.org/NB/NBSepOct05p207.html
  8. hi i stoped at 11 months as my baby just seemed to get fed up and was not interested, he didn't like cows milk so he was getting soya milk, there is nothing wrong with extended breast feeding you go for as long as you want.
  9. I always keep lavender water in my bag and some cloth wipes ( multiple use items, sooth stings, cuts, bumps, washes dirty hands, bums and faces.) 2 onesize pocket nappy's (reusable) i have a 6month old and a 21/2 year old being potty treined. muslin square (multiple use again sick, wiper, nappy liner, seat cover, blanket, bib) a plaster yougurt coated dried fruit small carton of juice, spoon, a change of clothes pants and a light pair of cotton short for elder child t shirt size 2 years (will fit either child in an emargency) shorts used for my 7 year old (he is thin) when he fel in the river at Rivlin on sunday, thats my bag, i would like some sort of seperators to hold things together as at the moment every thing is just chucked in.
  10. one of my sons was being billied at school by his so called freind, this went on for a few weeks, finally he told me and my husband who it was, we were going in to school the folowing monday after school, but we didnt have to josh got angry at school grabbed both boys (his freind and the one that encouraged him ) banged there heads together then on the ground, (josh is one of the smallest in his class and a little shy,) they have not bothered him since. i didnt know whether to be proud he stood up for himself of angry for his actions.... The schools dont seem to have any power to keep the bullies in hand anymore so the kids feel free to terorise whoever they want.
