Correctly adjusting VW polo 2001 clutch cable?
Dilbert replied to Dilbert's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
its definately a manual adjust one not automatic as i have seen the auto adjust type and they look different think i have got it right but have heard that if its adjusted wrong it can ruin your release bearing -
Whats the correct procedure for adjusting VW polo 2001 clutch cable have put a new gearbox in and just wondered if there is a procedure for correctly adjusting the clutch cable? in has this wierd spring assembly on the end of the cable where it attaches to release arm i sure you are supposed to set a certain gap in this assembly with the adjusting nut but am not 100% i have linked to a picture of the cable so you know what i am trying to describe http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=vw+polo+clutch+cable&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&tbm=isch&tbnid=5DJYBZUjf4lXnM:&imgrefurl=http://www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php%253Ft%253D233071&docid=4SBBeAZrfAXbNM&w=600&h=600&ei=FeUvTr0hybHyA-SU1UQ&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=163&vpy=76&dur=859&hovh=225&hovw=225&tx=74&ty=118&page=1&tbnh=138&tbnw=186&start=0&ndsp=13&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0&biw=1024&bih=594

Thank you everybody for the help regarding the Ariston Microcombi once i had found the schrader valve(after i had cleared away all the cement that some cowboy had dropped down the back when they put the flu through the wall ) i drained the boiler/expansion vessel via the drain **** underneath, checked the pressure and it was almost none existant, pumped back up to 1 bar and all seems well, system set to 1.5bar cold and rises to 2 and a quarter when hot, guessing these pressures are ok? before pressure was rising to 3 after ten mins so hopefully have sorted i think:D

How big of a job is it to check the expansion vessel pressure on a ariston microcombi 23 boiler? Anybody know where the valve to pump the vessel up is? i had several radiators with loads of air in,bled all of these and topped system back up to 1.5bar(cold) now pressure rises when hot to almost 3 bar and when system cools back down pressure has dropped to just below 1bar i have double checked none of the radiators are leaking so i am sort of thinking expansion vessel or am i mistaken? i am no expert on heating etc but am quite technically minded,so can anybody offer any advice please? thanks.

Is it really necessary to bleed air out of water/cooling system on a ford ka after draining and replacing coolant,is there a procedure for this? is there a way of checking if there is air in the system?

Can anybody advise on cost to repair or replace rusty sills on a ford ka,one side has 6 rusty patches on it and other side has rusty patches and a hole about half an inch big and doesnt feel too solid around the hole.Anybody Recommend somewhere reasonably cheap around sheffield/rotherham to repair? or at least supply replacement skin sills?
